How players can engage with Blockchain Brawlers
Blockchain Brawlers is a PvP game where players can battle each other and test out their wrestler non-fungible tokens (NFT). Once integration happens, they can stake their winnings with the game’s native cryptocurrency, BRWL.
Betting represents the main way each player can earn game tokens in the future. Currently, players can purchase NFTs and the BRWL token directly via a credit card.
However, from the initial launch, there are three PvP modes that players can engage in, including:
- Exhibition vs. bots
- Ranked
- Join/host
Blockchain Brawlers also has its own marketplace, where the WAX cryptocurrency facilitates payments.
In this marketplace, players can find “Swag Kits”, which aim to visually change each wrestler’s appearance through wearables.

It is a ranking system in the form of MMR (Matchmaking Rating), where players gain points by winning matches and can lose them if the opposite happens. Any wins against bots no longer give any MMR.
The team also announced that in Q1 of 2023, a second PvP game mode would come out, aiming to follow the auto-chess game concept.
Blockchain Brawlers is a wrestling game based on the card concept commonly seen in competing projects in the crypto space. Each wrestler comes in the form of an NFT, and players can own them along with gaining ownership of cards that represent the move the wrestler can take throughout each match.
These cards are drawn from the player’s deck. Throughout each round, a player can place bets with the cards in their hand at the time. Each switch has 25 HP (NYSE:) (health points) and when they are gone, the player loses the match.
Finally, Tyranno Studios has added Magic: the Gathering creator Richard Garfield as one of the core team members, bringing a lot of experience and weight to the project.
On the other side
- Each player needs access to a WAX wallet, for example WAX Cloud Wallet. The game is not free-to-play (F2P), as each player must use crypto to purchase NFTs.
- Some rooms requires BRWL tokens as an entrance fee.
Why you should care
The game’s launch represents a huge leap for the development team and finally allows players to experience what Tyranno Studios has created.
However, the Pay-to-Play element surrounding the title may discourage players from trying the game in the first place, as many WAX blockchain-based games are Free-to-Play (F2P), and as such, Blockchain Brawlers faces stiff competition.
