Twisted Tea Hard Iced Tea, the #1 hard iced tea brand in the US, announced Monday a partnership with web3 platform Sesame3 to launch Twisted Tea’s first NFT. Unlike most tokenized NFTs, Twisted Tea’s will offer real value that can be held, sold, and bought using traditional payment methods without a crypto wallet, making it more accessible than most tokenized NFTs.
Twisted Tea is giving its first NFT to one fan. The winner will have their picture placed on the back of up to 100 million Twisted Tea tins across the country. To enter, visit TwistedTea.com/NFT to submit your photo and tell the brand why you deserve to be on a back label for a chance to win Twisted Tea NFT. One winner will be chosen on 3 August.
For the best chance to win, the brand recommends fans submit photos that show how much you love Twisted Tea. “Energetic, wild, fun photos” are best. It can be a picture of an individual or a group. There’s “no need to go crazy with filters, editing or photoshop,” the brand added.
“Celebrating our fans is part of everything we do, so our first-ever NFT had to reward them with something big,” Erica Taylor, director of brand for Twisted Tea, said in a press release. “For 15 years and counting, we’ve featured more than 750 fan photos on the back of every Twisted Tea bottle and can showing how our fans keep it twisted. And while we may not know much about NFTs, we know that our fans are sure to go wild for a chance to get their face on millions of Twisted Tea labels. In collaboration with the NFT experts at Sesame3, we are excited to celebrate our community in a brand new place.”
Twisted Tea has been featuring fans on bottles and cans since 2007. On average, the brand receives more than 1,000 images each month, and only a select few make it onto the pack. Twisted Tea’s NFT Drop will provide another opportunity for a fan to win this opportunity, along with additional benefits.
The NFT winner will also be allowed to auction the NFT to the highest bidder, giving the new NFT owner the opportunity to also have their image on a select number of Twisted Tea back labels.
