WHO: David Fairs x Aeneas Middleton

What: Two open editions

Where: Nice gateway

Why: This upcoming collaboration between aerial artist and creative director David Fairs and Multi-Platinum producer Aeneas “Hardley Davidson” Middleton features two multimedia open NFTs. Each piece is said to embody the feeling and depth of the ocean’s beauty through an endless looping animation combined with evocative sound design.

WHO: Scottie Pippen x Orange comet

What: 1000 sneaker NFTs

Why: Orange Comet has teamed up with basketball Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen for a dynamic, limited edition virtual wearable. Each NFT sneaker features Orange Comet’s signature 3D animations in conjunction with a metaverse-ready digital asset that the company says can be carried around just about any ecosystem.

What: 52 charitable NFTs

Where: Foundation

Why: Rescued is a photographic NFT project created in collaboration between the pioneering photography organization Fellowship and the artist Carlo Van de Roer. The collection was created in support of shelters, with 100 percent of all sales donated to Best Friends Animal Society to support their mission to make every shelter in the United States “no-kill” by 2025.

WHO: Monaris

What: An edition of 75

When: 21 December at 2 p.m. ET

Where: Instagram

Why: Puerto Rico-born, New Jersey-based photographer Monaris is set to become one of the first artists to imprint an NFT directly on Instagram with her upcoming release. Titled “Sweet Solitude”, the piece is said to be the lowest point of entry into Monaris’ work, as well as a reflection on her journey to becoming a full-time photographer and the role Instagram played in her early growth.

WHO: Kenny Scharf

What: Multimedia PFP NFTs

When: 21 December at 6:30 p.m. ET

Where: Nice gateway

Why: UnderAqua is the latest project from the renowned American painter Kenny Scharf. The collection is said by those involved to be centered around a universe “born out of radioactive chaos” where what was once an idyllic environment is now a floating pit of nuclear scientific disaster inhabited by mysterious mutant fish.

What: 10 music NFTs

When: 22 December at 6 p.m. ET

Where: Sound.xyz

Why: “Heaven” is the second Sound.xyz drop to come from seasoned Argentinian Trap producer Dabow. Said to represent his “Web3 self at the moment”, the track reflects the chaotic yet cohesive production style he’s aimed to spread throughout the next wave of bass music.
