TRON DAO honors top HackaTRON qualifiers to complete Blockchain deployment milestone

[PRESS RELEASE – Geneva, Switzerland, June 7th, 2023]

A little over two weeks ago, on May 15, 2023, the TRON DAO team revealed the results of the HackaTRON Season Four competition. Part of the prize pool, 500,000 USD, was divided among the best projects. The final milestone payment is currently being processed for referee-selected qualifiers, contingent upon the project team’s fulfillment of successfully deploying their dApp on either the TRON blockchain or the BitTorrent Chain MainNets by June 1, 2023.

There were over 625 participants from 172 projects across six tracks, including DeFi, Web3, NFT and GameFi, along with the new Builder and Eco-Friendly tracks. Five from each track were selected by a recognized panel of judges as the most promising projects, each receiving 30% of their respective prize when the results were announced on 15 May.

First place in each of them judge-selected tracks receives 20,000 USD, with second place receiving 15,000 USD, third place 10,000 USD, and fourth and fifth place 8,000 and 6,000 USD respectively.

The new Builder track renowned teams returning to the hackathon who have made significant updates to their projects. Those who completed the blockchain deployment milestone were, in selection order:

The Environmentally friendly track showcased projects that work towards sustainability and environmental management via the TRON Climate Initiative. Those who completed the blockchain deployment milestone were, in selection order:

• ForGreen by ForGreen
• BlockForest by BlockForest

The projects from GameFi the track that completed the blockchain deployment milestone was, in selection order:

• Duelists from TRONJoy
• RevoluTRON by Irruption Lab
• Cukies: Rush & Run by Cukies World

The projects from Web3 the track that completed the blockchain deployment milestone was, in selection order:

• TrustSight by The TRONacles
• Daren Market by Daren Market
• TronSave by TronSave
• ProvyLens by LensCrafters
• Yinbox by Jeffrey Lewis

As mentioned above, the first referee-selected qualifiers received 30% of their awarded prize for placing in the top five of their respective tracks on May 15, 2023. They were given a deadline of June 1, 2023 to submit a functional, decentralized application on either TRON or the BitTorrent Chain MainNets to receive the rest of the prize. The projects mentioned above completed this requirement.

Community Forum’s top five

This season there were also three bonus awards for the best achievements in project commitment, determination and community contribution. The ten recipients of the Community Contribution Award were announced on 15 May 2023. The winners of the Project Commitment Awards and Determination Awards were finalized on 1 June 2023 and they are:
