What do we know about Splinterlands’ Land 1.0 release?
The country release is called “The Secret of Praetoria”. In this phase, players can begin to benefit from owning land for the first time. After claiming land NFTs, holders can then construct buildings, harvest resources, and produce new cards to help dominate the world of Praetoria.
Praetoria has 150 lands, each containing 1,000 plots. The plots are divided into 10 different tracts within each region. In addition, the regions are grouped into 7 different territories consisting of 20 to 22 regions each.

This Splinterlands team has been working on this land rollout for a long time. It is a fundamental part of the long-term vision for the game. The Splinterlands team commented: “”We hope everyone is as excited as we are for this monumental launch! Land has been waiting for it, and we couldn’t be happier to deliver on it!”
In releasing the new update, the team has pulled back the curtain on many of the game’s core systems and mechanics. There will be an additional 2.0 release later that will unlock more features and allow card betting in the near future.
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a decentralized digital trading card game built on the Hive blockchain. Players use over 500 cards to battle each other in one-on-one battles. Unlike Pokemon or Magic: The Gathering, Splinterlands games only take a couple of minutes to complete.
As of today, Splinterlands players have won over $6.8 in prizes during tournament play. The team behind Splinterlands have certainly established themselves as leaders in the blockchain gaming space. With the release of The Secret of Praetoria, they look to build on an already impressive product.
