The new NFT collection of Tomorrowland is entitled “The Reflection of Love” and is the second in a series of three collections. It is inspired by the event’s main stage theme for the 2022 festival in Belgium. While the festival has already sold out its 600,000 tickets, the new NFT slip gives holders the chance for unique benefits. Benefits include access to the NFT community, festival creators and artists, as well as giveaways from backstage tours to secret shows.
Minting of the new Tomorrowland NFT will take place on FTX and is powered by the Solana-based platform Magic Eden – which has launched over 250 digital asset collections and sees over 92% of all NFT trading volume on Solana.
Asked how the collection will help bridge Web3 and live events, Magic Eden co-founders told Hypemoon, “There are two parts to this collaboration between Tomorrowland and Magic Eden. The first part of the partnership involves a limited coin for collectors who want to buy Tomorrowland tickets, “and adds that” this experiment allows us to try redemption of tickets in a controlled setting, so that we can better understand the workflow for activities that go from the chain. trade to redemption outside the chain. This coin will provide information on how future IRL ticket launches on NFTs may work. ”
A key highlight mentioned by the founders is the ability for holders to put together what they call a “medallion”, which will provide lifelong license list benefits that allow them to purchase tickets to sold-out Tomorrowland events.
In addition, Hypemoon asked co-founders what excited them most about the upcoming NFT downturn, to which they responded: “NFTs provide valuable benefits to proprietors” and added that “Magic Eden is pleased to work with a globally renowned innovative music festival as Tomorrowland launches an NFT that will bring people closer together at the festival and in digital spaces. ”
In terms of mainstream skepticism, Magic Eden shared that one thing will create the next era of adoption – utility. The platform told Hypemoon that valuable benefits can come in the form of gated access, community connections and marketplace structures in the game. The co-founders shared a clear distinction between projects that create NFTs for the buzz factor and others that create them with real inherent benefit that not only arouses curiosity, but creates long-term value for the owners.
In other news, the telephone (1) manufacturer Nothing is set to send NFTs to community investors.
