Strategic communications consultancy, Wachsman, a specialist in the Web3, blockchain and FinTech verticals, has opened its newest office in Geneva, Switzerland. The new location, Wachsman’s third in Europe and seventh worldwide, is expected to strengthen the company’s position in the financial technology industry.
“As a long-standing hub for financial services with an agile approach to policy and regulation, Switzerland has long been a global center for innovation in the financial sector. In the past decade, its appealing conditions have led to the formation and growth of many of the world’s leading blockchain and DeFi organizations,” said David Wachsman, founder and CEO of Wachsman.
“With vast experience in both legacy and emerging markets, our new location in Geneva allows us to further serve innovators in traditional and decentralized finance, as well as the many blockchain and Web3 companies operating in Switzerland and beyond,” added he to.
Wachsman Geneva will be led by Alex Sheehan, who joined the company in 2017 in the Dublin office. During the past three years, she has served as a director at Wachsman Singapore.
“Wachsman has played a leading role in the emergence and success of some of the best-known companies in emerging technology, with more than 350 clients represented to date,” said Sheehan.
“Since our inception in 2015, we’ve helped our clients educate the public about the benefits of technologies that enable distributed systems, smart contracts, compliant privacy and more. Over the next five years, we expect major advances in the adoption of the metaverse and other new paradigms. Our presence in a critical hub like Switzerland will ensure we remain at the heart of the action.”
Earlier this year, Wachsman opened several US offices in Los Angeles and Washington DC, as well as a UK-based office in London. The company had previously established offices in New York, Dublin and Singapore.
Wachsman also has a presence in EMEA, overseen by Dublin-based CEO Liam Murphy, who says the push responds to growing global demand for integrated communications services in emerging technologies.
