The collaboration between Samsung NFT and LaCollection
Samsung has announced the first partner of its Web3 platform that will be featured in the TV-based NFT explorer named “Samsung NFT Hub”: LaCollection.
Specifically, the hub app is designed to enable users to appreciate world-renowned art masterpieces outside the museum space through their Samsung device with extraordinary definition and color, offering users a seamless customer experience.
Now LaCollection’s new collaboration with Samsung reflects the platform’s commitment to build a bridge between art and technology by offering users innovative formats to experience art. The app is expected to be unveiled this year Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 5, 2023.
Samsung NFT and LaCollection: connecting art through new technology
The unveiling of LaCollection app coincides with the launch of their other French pastels NFT collection with the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, MFA, where they will offer a free branded NFT at the Consumer Electronics Show.
LaCollection’s mission is to connect the next generation of art lovers with the world’s leading cultural institutions, artists and collections through new technology.
The Samsung NFT Hub, on the other hand, as expected, was launched in 2022 and is a revolutionary platform enabling collectors to browse, collect and display their favorite art from a single device.
The Samsung Smart TV app offers users around the world the full Web3 experience and joins LaCollection’s efforts to bridge the gap between art and technology and offer innovative ways to experience art.
Digital collectors worldwide can display and enjoy masterpieces by the world’s greatest artists among museums, cultural institutions and even in their homes. Thus, both LaCollection collectors and Samsung smart TV owners can browse, view and collect digital collectibles on the TV.
The collaboration between the two gives exclusive access to more than 100 timeless masterpieces and contemporary art such as Dancers Rest (1881-85) by Edgar DegasPortrait of Wally Neuzil (1912) by Egon Schieleand Metaflora (2022) by Sign Pierce.
The LaCollection app will be integrated into Samsungits new 2022 and 2023 premium TV lines,
including the QLED and Neo QLED sets. In this way, users of the app can experience image quality, video and 3D art from Samsung’s optimal technology.
Accessible art and easier shopping: the new Web3 experience
Thanks to the collaboration between Samsung NFT hub and LaCollection, with an incredibly thin body, rich colors and ultra-fine contrast, collectors can now appreciate famous works of art outside of museums in a wonderful way, both in terms of definition and color.
As expected, in conjunction with the launch of the second French Pastels NFT collection, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and LaCollection will also offer a free coin at CES 2023.
Jean-Sébastien BeaucampsCEO and co-founder of LaCollection, said about this::
“We are committed to making art accessible and digital collectible purchases easier than ever. With our mission in mind, we couldn’t be more proud to partner with Samsung Electronics to develop an innovative Web3 collection experience.
Their dedication to user experience and developing the highest quality displays aligns perfectly with our vision to enable anyone, anywhere, to interact with their favorite artists as if it were a physical painting.”
So the collaboration also has the ultimate goal of offering users a smart TV app to discover, collect and buy artistically NFTs.
James Kungdone PiHead of Experience Planning at Visual Display, Samsung also said:
“With demand for NFTs on the rise, the need for a solution to today’s fragmented vision, the procurement landscape has never been greater. In 2022, Samsung will introduce a TV screen NFT explorer and marketplace aggregator, an innovative platform that lets you browse, buy and showcase your favorite art, all in one place.”
Not just Samsung, NFTs will soon appear on Facebook and Instagram
NFTs are now reaching ever-increasing peaks of expansion, so two of the world’s largest social networks have also decided to include them in their platforms soon.
We actually know that Facebook will support non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with a tab called “digital collectibles”, where creators can display their work. Navdeep SinghMeta’s technical program manager, showed some screenshots of the new features on Twitter.
An advocate for MetaFacebook’s parent company, said the rollout of NFTs on the social network will be gradual, starting with select creators in the United States.
In the future, NFT creators will be able to cross-post between Facebook and Instagram, another Meta property. In fact, Instagram is also testing NFTs, with theirs Kick AR platform for augmented reality.
Just a few months ago, Instagram extended its NFTs trial, previously only available in the US, to international users. The app allows users to view NFTs minted on Ethereum and Polygonand Solana and Flow blockchains will also be supported in the future.
Meta announced in May that it would soon be testing NFTs on Instagram, and that Facebook would follow suit. In the future, Meta’s other apps, such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messengerwill also get NFT features.
Just like Samsung and LaCollection, Facebook and social networks in general are also trying to expand into Web3, since it’s there the future’s potential has been seen.
