StreamCoin launches environmentally friendly “Green NFTs” in partnership with One Tree Planted
Toronto, Ontario–(Newsfile Corp. – Nov 14, 2022) – As part of its partnership with One Tree Planted, blockchain company StreamCoin has announced the launch of a new environmental initiative to advance its sustainability commitment.

In its efforts to contribute to a greener and more sustainable planet, StreamCoin plans to launch a number of non-profit initiatives to support global reforestation. The proceeds raised from these initiatives will be donated to One Tree Planted, helping the organization in its replanting efforts.
Through this eco-friendly drive, StreamCoin also strives to illuminate the possibilities of NFTs as a means to good. Michael Ein Chaybeh, CEO of StreamCoin, explains more about the company’s initiative:

StreamCoin reintroduces that the collection is created exclusively for non-profit organizations, with the green NFTs having 0% royalties and cannot be resold. When donors purchase green NFTs, the item will be seen as their proof of donation.
Talking about the benefits of NFTs, the company highlights that using NFTs to support good causes can ensure transparency for donors, organizations and other involved parties. The funds can be tracked and monitored on the blockchain as the payments for NFTs are also made using cryptocurrencies.
Each green NFT is priced at approximately $10 in STRM, and each item used for donation helps plant ten trees by the organization – as it plants one tree for every $1 received. Based in Vermont, USA, One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping the environment with its extensive reforestation projects.
Ashley Lamontagne, a forest campaign manager at One Tree Plante, commented on the partnership:
“We appreciate the support of StreamCoin and all the great work we will be able to do as a result of this partnership. Through their contribution, we will be able to plant more trees where they are needed most and advance our goal of global replanting.”
