Sony is launching a brand new web incubator program

Sony has unveiled a new incubator program in collaboration with japanese blockchain, Astar network, and its frequent collaborator Startale Labs. The exciting proposal will accelerate digital transformation in the heart of Tokyo and Cosmize Metaverse with a “Demo Day” taking place on June 18th.

Sony’s subsidiary specializing in IT solutions and software development, Sony Network Communications, is ready to operate the program, which is open to global companies in need of financial and technical support. The demo day will be tailored to each project’s development needs, regardless of where they are in their business cycles, and represents forward-looking approaches to support the next generation of digital innovations.

Sony and Astar to cultivate global innovation

Sony and its partners have selected 19 promising companies from an initial pool of 200 for the upcoming event. There, each company will present its projects, so that investors can immerse themselves in the inner workings of each proposition. As a result, it creates a platform where cutting-edge ideas are showcased and challenged through compelling discussions, fostering an environment of innovation.

To offer a rich and broad perspective, Sony has invited all companies interested in Web3 initiatives to come and gain valuable insights from venture capital firms along with pioneering blockchain-based companies. In addition, the program will provide mentorship sessions focusing on business and technology strategies.

Sony’s incubator program presents a significant trend in the Japanese business world. Last year, Japan’s Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, identified the benefits of Web3 initiatives to boost the country’s economy.
