Snoop Dogg Teams Up With VeeFriends For NFT Collaboration!
World-renowned rapper and hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg teams up with the popular NFT project, VeeFriends. The first announcement of this exciting collaboration was made during VeeCon 2022. However, the collaboration includes the release of a new single by Snoop Dogg on April 28, 2023. Let’s dive into all the details below!
VeeFriends X Snoop Dogg: Changing the NFT Game
Snoop Dogg is a big proponent of crypto and NFT culture. As his music and fan base expand, he has been vocal in promoting web3 culture through various avenues. The legendary rapper’s latest side mission sees him team up with NFT thought leader Gary Vee.
Fans can pre-save the song now to be the first to hear it when it drops. The collaboration also includes a multi-phase experience on Burn Island that will excite NFT collectors. Here is an overview of each phase of the collaboration:
- Phase 1, Outbreak 6: “Burn to Mint”: To celebrate the new single and the first year of VeeCon, the collaboration’s first release will be exclusive to VeeCon 2022 NFT ticket holders. Attendees must burn one VeeCon 2022 ticket and receive one “Please Take a Step Back” NFT in exchange. This phase lasts from April 28 to May 8.
- Phase 2, “Fire to Compete and Monkey in”: The second phase kicks off with the release of Snoop Dogg’s official music video for “Please Take a Step Back.” There are two different competitions, each with different terms, rules, judging criteria and prizes. Participants must permanently burn NFTs from the “Please Take a Step Back” collection to participate. The first contest offers the chance to win Bored Ape Yacht Club #1452 from GaryVee’s collection. The second competition also offers the following prizes:
- Mutant Ape Yacht Club #12904 (1st place)
- Code Otherdeed for Otherside #28379 (2nd place)
- Bored Kennel Club #1452 (3rd place)
- 1000 ApeCoin ($APE) to the top winners (4th place)
- Phase 3, “Fire to Participate”: In the final phase, ten lucky individuals will get the chance to attend the High School Reunion Concert with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa in Atlanta on August 9, 2023. Finally, the winners will be chosen by permanently burning NFTs from “Please Take a Step” Back» collection.
