Singapore FinTech Festival 2022 returns as an in-person event | Press Releases | Asia

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Elevandi today announced the return of the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) as an in-person event to be held from 2 to 4 November 2022.

SFF 2022 will focus on ‘Building Resilient Business Models amid Volatility and Change’, with industry events and the annual Innovation Lab Crawl held on 31 October and 1 November, as a prelude to the main festival. The event will be held at the Singapore EXPO.

SFF 2022 theme

With the global economy seeing a rise in inflation and facing the risk of a significant slowdown in growth, the outlook for the FinTech industry has become challenging, with many FinTech firms striving to remain robust and viable amid the crisis. SFF 2022 will thus focus on discussing ways to build a robust business model in today’s challenging market environment.

Key stakeholders including global heads of state, policy makers, regulators, financial services leaders, founders, investors and technology leaders will outline the drivers of change and share how organizations can design robust business models capable of navigating today’s and future challenges. In particular, the conference will examine three central questions:

  • Viable: How do organizations build and redefine business models that can be more resilient to volatile market conditions?
  • Responsible: How do organizations balance social responsibility and profitability to achieve greater stakeholder satisfaction and engagement?
  • Inclusive: How do organizations design inclusive business models that address the needs of both the unbanked and underbanked?

Summits

The conference will include a series of global and knowledge plenary meetings, and a The Elevandi Insights Forum is organized in the form of round table sessions.

  • Global plenary sessions will focus on leaders and organizations addressing the core construct of Resilient Business Models.
  • Knowledge Plenum sessions will include breakout sessions on Web3 and Payments; Environment, Social and Governance (ESG); Banking for businesses; Insurance and pensions; International Growth Markets powered by the World FinTech Festival; and the FinTech Regulation.
  • The Elevandi Insights Forum will consist of private, deep-dive roundtables that bring the public and private sectors together to meet challenges facing the financial sector and drive forward important actionable results.

Display

SFF will also see the return of a physical exhibition with over 500 leading organisations, including global financial institutions, regulators and FinTechs, showcasing the latest innovations and developments in the FinTech space.

The exhibition will include ecosystem stages that are freely available to attendees to get up close and personal with the latest technologies, products and launches from industry players. These stages will feature product announcements and product displays from exhibitors; a specially curated ESG Impact Zone; deep dive into countries and sectors in the World FinTech Festival1; and the finalists’ showcases from the MAS Global FinTech Hackcelerator2 and the Polyfintech100 API Hackathon3.

Other highlights

Debuting at SFF is the Elevandi Global Founders Network, an exclusive global influencer program that identifies exceptional founders, on an annual basis, who are building sustainable and robust businesses, with a positive impact on the world. The global founders will be selected through a nomination process, honored at SFF and share their 10-minute insights at Founders Peak.

Attendees can also look forward to the winners’ showcase at the SFF Global FinTech Awards4 and curated networking sessions, including a new FinTech Marketeers Meetup and an Investors Summit powered by Elevandi Connects.
