A top Russian official has called on all countries to make efforts to ensure that “the threat of global confrontation, of a hot, full-scale third world war” does not materialize. “The tensions in the world are actually white-hot,” he warned.
The Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, called on all countries to make efforts to avoid the outbreak of a new, full-scale global conflict on Tuesday, while addressing the participants of the Znanie (Knowledge) Marathon.

The BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are also working on creating a currency.
