RTFKT partners with Division Street to launch AR Helmet NFTs
Top sportswear brand Nike’s RTFKT Studios is teaming up with Division Street’s Oregon-based brand Ducks of a Feather to launch a limited edition AR helmet NFT collection.
The project’s mission is to support student-athletes at the University of Oregon. To help the athletes commercialize their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), the companies created a set of 291 digital collectible AR helmets.
Division Street will use the proceeds and royalties from the sale of the NFT collection to further its goal of supporting the student-athletes at the University of Oregon.
Starting December 20th, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM EST, RTFKT Clone X and Flying Formation NFT holders could register for an exclusive private coin draw. To be eligible for the draw, the user must have an NFT from one of these NFT collections.
In addition, an RTFKT account, a WalletConnect compatible crypto wallet and a wallet with at least 0.75 ETH ($908.78) are required.
There will be only one entry allowed per RTFKT account and per wallet address. At the time of writing, the private raffle mint registration is closed.
291 winners will be randomly selected for the approval list and allowed to make their mark on December 21st between 12:00pm and 2:30pm EST. An additional 500 winners will be selected from the waiting list and allowed to enter after 2:30pm EST.

It will not be a public mint, but members of the approval list can still be put on the allocated waiting list. Supporters of RTFKT who do not own NFTs but still want to support the project can try the helmet in AR using the Snapchat app.
In addition to receiving future NFT gate access on RTFKT.com in front of downloadable 3D portable files of the helmet for digital use, holders of the helmet NFT will receive a limited license to the creative content associated with the helmet.
Collectors will also be able to forge an exclusive 1/291 physical football jersey during the helmet embossing process. The AR football helmet NFT has no physical counterpart.
Todd van Horne, who has designed Oregon football jerseys for the past 20 years, designed the physical jerseys. Horne’s previous designs are all combined in the limited sweater’s layout.
You cannot receive the physical jerseys from the forge event for the helmet NFTs if you own the NFT after the initial purchase, because all helmet NFTs on the secondary market will have already claimed their physical jerseys.
There will be 10 digitally signed Phil Knight helmets among the 291 AR helmets. Phil Knight is co-founder and chairman emeritus of Nike.
During the private mint event, 10 of these helmets will be struck randomly on the chain. The 10 digitally signed helmet owners will also receive actual Phil Knight signed jerseys.
