An ass named The Butties, or Moncul for French natives, a cartoon character, so cute yet authentic. Signed as an artist at Jardin Orange, a Shenzhen, China-based gallery and artist residency, Zekey also shows in Toulouse, in the south of France. Since his first exhibition, he has created a strong and intense interest in his character and has also created a real community of Butties lovers, which is growing at a rapid pace. As the artist himself says: “From now on, you don’t have to hide anymore to stare at people’s butts.”
“I’ve known Zekey for more than 20 years, I’ve followed his artistic development, from then, to what he’s created now… his universe, his alter egos. I’ve actually never seen him anywhere else. His artistic concept can could easily come from a Pixar studio. He has the right belief that butties will become icons. To me, they’re already cool!” shared international artist Ceet Fouad, who started the Chikanos movement.
Butt Island: The island of 10,000 Butties.
The storytelling about the NFT project and everything around it shows a fully developed concept.
“With the team, we are currently working on a treasure hunt RPG (role-playing game), which will take place in the Metaverse. Butties are small creatures that have just landed on an island called Butt Island, where a treasure hunt will take NFT owners will be rewarded with treats, artwork etc… We want to create a unique and friendly place”, explains artist Zekey.
Zekey and his 7 studio collaborators drop their collection of 10,000 NFT, all unique. The artist has worked with more than 170 accessories that make it possible to create 10,000 Butties with a hundred left for the rarest ones. All drawn and accessories by the artist himself! Combinations and possibilities are more cool from one to the other.
