NFT Paris Attendees Wow at 3D Printed Fashion Collection Inspired by Nouns

A proposal from nouns revealed that Peleg was offered $140,000 in funding for the 3D printed fashion collection.

A web3 enthusiast and fashion designer Danit Peleg recently showcased his first 3D printed fashion collection inspired by the 3D NFT community noun. Since Nounces was published in 2023, the Ethereum project auctions a new non-fungible token every day. The proceeds from the digital collectible also go to an open source intellectual property. The fashion designer showcased his 3D printed fashion collection at the NFT Paris Conference, which was held on February 24 and 25. Popular names in the emerging technologies were speakers at the event, such as Yuga Labs co-founder Greg Solano and SuperRare Labs co-founder Jonathan Perkins. Thousands of web3 fanatics attended NFT Paris at the Grand Palais Éphémère.

3D printed fashion collection inspired by nouns

According to Peleg, her inspiration comes from “all about nouns.” She told Decrypt that she found the best way to contribute to Substantive was through the 3D printed fashion collection. Each of the five outfits the stylist wore to the event was inspired by NFTs in the profile picture collection and the brand Nouns. Some of the pieces include the recreation of embossed avatars. She also used various 3D printing technologies to actualize her vision of the printed 3D printed collection. The technologies used were Multi Jet Fusion, FDM and Polyjet, producing accurate parts, smooth prototypes and tooling. While some of the clothes were joined with printed parts, others had hinges between noun characters.

In particular, Noun’s open source model, which provides access to even those without NFTs, caught her attention. The Creative Commons o (CCo) model allows anyone with or without noun NFT to sell or create brand-based projects. The fashion designer expressed his interest in the society’s NFT structure and how the group uses its funds in “fantastic” ways. The NFT community has about $45 million in ETH in its treasury and has funded various projects over time. The team has supported the 2023 Rose Parade, cartoons and TV pilots.

Substantive funding for the project

Furthermore, a proposal from Substantive revealed that Peleg was offered $140,000 in funding for the 3D printed fashion collection. The financing went over three milestones – develop, construct and showcase. Speaking about building trust with the community, the fashion designer stated:

“I started small, delivered value and increased community support – and then got higher funding as trust was established.”

As a fashion student, the talented fashion designer’s first collection went viral in 2015. While graduating from Shenkar College of Design, Peleg conducted energetic research. Eventually she found a laboratory in Tel Aviv where she learned about the process and performed some experiments.
