NFT .NYC expects “diverse and eclectic audience” to drive the useful story of NFTs
NFT.NYC, one of the largest non-fungible token events, is preparing to open its doors for a fourth year, celebrating the diversity of NFTs across 16 sectors, including art, film, sports and ticket sales.
Held from June 20 to 23 in New York City, the blockbuster event will serve as a global melting pot for anyone in the NFT world, showcasing 1,500 speakers across panels, lectures, fire chats and hundreds of pop-up events. The number of visitors is expected to rise from last year’s 5,600 to over 15,000 this time.
Cointelegraph spoke with Jodee Rich, co-founder of NFT.NYC, and Quinn Button, its vice president of growth, to hear more about their expectations of the New York event. They also discussed how current market conditions may affect the momentum of the NFT movement and the artistic conversations it engages in.
With a conscious emphasis on prioritizing the community’s preferences over brands or companies, the NFT.NYC team selected 221 new international artists from an application pool of 5,000 to showcase their work on a Times Square billboard and throughout the Marriott Hotel.
After the event, these artists will have the opportunity to emboss their works at a price they choose and keep 75% of all income generated from the primary and subsequent sales. Specific details of purchase will be announced.
In collaboration with 221 Community Artists, we are very pleased to launch “The 2022 Diversity of NFTs Art Collection”.
Artwork will be on display in Times Square and throughout the event. Some parts will be available for coin.https: //t.co/cup0e2EYF7

Speaking of the ubiquitous community of NFT fanatics planning to rally around the Big Apple, Rich proudly shared that it is a “very diverse and eclectic audience”:
“Our thing is about giving society a voice. That’s what we wanted to do since the beginning. We are not an event that goes in search of celebrities – we want the community to feel that this is a place where they can stand on the stage and talk to the rest of the community. “
This resolute intention to strengthen youth and passion with a platform is perhaps most aptly witnessed by the introduction of Unconference – an impromptu, unplanned scene that welcomes all guests to a 10-minute period to share their ideas and visions for the room .

Ether (ETH) is without a doubt the most integrated resource in the NFT area, but it is uncertainly maintaining a price level of $ 1200 at the time of writing, after falling 35% during the week.
This decline has had far-reaching consequences on the price floors and purchasing sentiment of leading NFT collections – especially profile-picture projects – and has thrown its place into the first bear market.
When talking about the potential impact this accident could have on the overall narrative, Rich was keen to express that art is the primary benefit of NFTs and that his enthusiasm remains for the connections and friendships that will be formed during the event – especially , for example, those during serendipitous moments in random conversations in line and between speakers on the same stage.
Button agreed with the assessment that countless use cases for use would be shown in the various sectors, and emphasized music as one to look at:
“I think an interesting benefit of NFTs will be how they will disrupt the music industry, whether it’s royalties, goods or generating new revenue streams to really connect musicians with their fans.”
NFTs used for good have experienced a rapid acceleration in the spotlight this year, especially in relation to support for Ukraine’s humanitarian aid work and cultural diversity agendas.
At NFT.NYC, topics in this area – such as sustainability, mental health and wellness and philanthropy – will be highlighted in a total of 28 panel discussions and lectures at Edison Ballroom South organized by Chingari from 21 to 22 June.
Cointelegraph senior reporter Rachel Wolfson will host a 15-minute fireside chat on June 22 entitled “Breaking the Boys Club Culture in Crypto: How NFTs Are Bringing Women into Web3” at Edison Ballroom Main.
