METAKAMI is a project made by our team of all artists who wants to bring back the suspense of a “choose your own adventure” story through one socially driven manga. Our first fall will be an anime-inspired avatar collection where each character is represented by an endangered animal.
METAKAMI plays boldly with duality.
METAKAMI is a collection of lab-developed hybrid devices in the aggravated hyperreality of 3022. The METAKAMIs are bodily bodies that merge kami (Shintō deity) and animals. These genetically engineered humanoids have characteristics and instincts from the earth’s endangered species, with god-like, supernatural abilities to fight anything that threatens to destroy Mother Nature.
The METAKAMI adventure will strain body and soul, but we want to replace loneliness with solidarity. For this purpose, we will implement the innovative KAMILAB, where readers of our Manga become authors. Holders can actively vote on the strategic and creative direction of METAKAMI Manga in one“choose your own adventure” format.

Tokyo, Japan. The year is 3022.
High-rise buildings of silver metal and glass reflect flashing neon lights, and let the city shine under permanent thick, gray clouds of pollution you can call the sky. The nature of nature has long been drowned and plunged by incessant industrial roars and the buzzing of live wires. Technology recreation of the natural world gives a simulated sky: the sun, moon and stars are projected according to plan. If there are plants anywhere in the city, they are made of plastic. All pets and wildlife have holographic substitutes. Stunningly true to nature, their digital materializations divert civilization from fate total extinction their organic archetypes await.
Inefficient lab-fabricated replacements to the natural function of the ecosystem attempts to mask the frightening ticking of the doomsday clock. It seems that when animals are completely extinct, humans are next in line. Centuries of failure to preserve nature instilled powerlessness in the people, with apparently no other option but apathy to cope. To be continued…

Girl power has always been a force to be reckoned with in this traditionally male-dominated crypto and NFT space. METAKAMI is proud founded and led by women, which wants to invite everyone to normalize and celebrate the presence of women in the NFT community. We are working hard to shatter the archaic narratives that have driven female under-representation in this space and beyond.
2. CONSERVATION OF EXTINCTED SPECIES
Our NFT art and its narrative shows animals that have met or are facing extermination as a consequence of human activity. We have designed over 150 animal traits for our METAKAMI NFTs, and will contribute to animal welfare by collaborating with non-profit organizations that will receive 5% of our royalties, as well as donations that amount to as much as $ 100,000.

The Techgirls Movement Foundation takes a holistic and evidence-based approach to targeting normative gender stereotypes through complementary programs.
