Manish Malhotra Fashion NFT Lehengas : A Glimpse
On October 6, 2021, Indian designer Manish Malhotra debuted his NFT collection at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week and WazirX market. He claims that NFTs have exciting potential. He believes that NFT is the best next step to enter the new industry because of the digitization of fashion with our in-house couture films and our virtual store on the MM website. Finding consumers and collectors for an artist’s work has never been easy. Malhotra is convinced that NFTs will eventually solve this problem.
Together with WazirX NFT Marketplace and FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week, Malhotra created five unique fashion NFTs. In his collection you will find a 1998 photo of Lisa Ray, a lovely sketch of a chikankari ensemble (delicate hand embroidery), a 2013 video titled “Reminiscing Runways,” and a sketch titled “Illuminous Showstopper” featuring a sari from Bollywood movie “Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani”.
