Mac Jones leads the NFL in NFT transactions

The Patriots QB is currently the best player when it comes to transactions on the NFL All Day, the NFL’s official NFT marketplace.

Top Players at the NFL All Day in terms of instant sales:
1. Mac Jones (9,811 transactions)
2. Patrick Mahomes (9,315 transactions)
3. Ja’Marr Chase (8511 transactions)
4. Matthew Stafford (7,890 transactions)
5. Tom Brady (6,902 transactions)

All Day noted that Brady is a special case, because it is a minor offer based on the fact that he is a future Hall of Famer.

VerifiedInk launches exclusive NFT video trading card with Naasir Cunningham

VerifiedInk – the first NIL platform ever to allow high school and college athletes to design, create and sell their own NFT trading cards – announced the launch of its marketplace, with headlines personally designed by Naasir Cunningham, Consensus # 1 in 2024 School Basketball Player in the country in ESPN rankings.

“VerifiedInk puts athletes first and works with us to benefit from our NIL throughout our careers,” Cunningham said in a release. “I’m just as grateful for my growing fanbase and want to use VerifiedInk to let them share in my most memorable moments to date.”

Athletes sign up for the VerifiedInk platform and design their own NFT trading cards for free. Per VerifiedInk, athletes sell these cards on the VerifiedInk market and retain 94 percent of their profits. As NFTs continue to swap hands and are bought and sold multiple times, players earn a royalty for each sale – and continue to earn on NIL.

Cunningham’s cards will be available for bids from July 19.

NHL, NHLPA announces NFT partnership with Sweet

On June 23, the NHL, National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), NHL Alumni Association (NHLAA) and NFT distribution platform Sweet announced a new multi-year partnership called Sweet the official NFT marketplace for digital collectibles and an official NFT partner for the NHL, NHLPA and NHLAA.

According to the release, the Sweet-operated NHL marketplace will focus on giving NHL fans and collectors the opportunity to buy, sell, collect and trade never-before-offered digital portions of NHL history.

The marketplace will showcase current and historical moments as well as iconic elements of the game in the form of non-fungible tokens. The roadmap also includes specialty packages, gamified collection experiences, interactive 3D trophy rooms where users can view their collections, as well as dynamic NFTs designed to change based on current team data and more.

The NHL platform has a planned launch at the start of the 2022-23 NHL season.
