Lost Worlds will host immersive NFT experience for the NFT.NYC event

New York, USA, April 11, 2023, Chainwire — The location-based NFT platform, Lost Worlds, has announced LOST.NYC, an immersive experience taking place in New York from April 11th to 14th. The unique event will be held during NFT.NYC, the premier conference for the NFT community.

LOST.NYC has been conceived as an experience that allows NFTs to transcend their digital boundaries and take root in the city that never sleeps. NFTs have traditionally been limited as a desktop experience, with little room to explore real-world utility. Lost Worlds tries to bring Pokemon-Go like experience to NFTs with location based nft achievement.

Geofencing NFTs to physical locations unlocks new and exciting ways to interact with digital assets. Outside of the experience itself, holders of these assets can access token-gated items, real-world events, exclusive NFT drops, and more. To showcase the new tool offered by this technology, Lost Worlds has partnered with some of the biggest names in the NFT.NYC space.

Web3 lifestyle app STEPN, which uses Lost World’s geoNFTs to provide memorable IRL to URL experiences. STEPN will drop its scavenger hunt as geoNFTs at running locations including Central Park during NFT.NYC. Minters will be able to claim a token and become eligible for exclusive STEPN coins on the MOOAR NFT platform.

DeLabs, creators of DeGods and Y00Ts, are leveraging the Lost Worlds platform as part of their DeNYC multi-day experience, which includes a landmark tour and scavenger hunt with over $100,000 in prizes up for grabs. The GeoNFTs hunt includes 5 landmarks across the city for users to collect. Each location will have 500 mintable geoNFTs on the Polygon blockchain. The locations include:

  • Grand Central
  • Empire State Building
  • Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital
  • Central Park
  • Brooklyn Bridge

Lost Worlds has successfully engaged 23 of the world’s most renowned artists to launch their debut geoNFT collections on the ethereum blockchain. These artists have had their works shown in prestigious auction houses and platforms, such as Sotheby’s. Notable names include Derry Ainsworth, Gabe Weis, Cult Class and rising star Anton Conolly. As a way to bring NFTs into reality as a form of certification, the person who discovers and mints Anton Conolly’s geoNFT in New York and creates it will also receive a 68″ x 50″ physical bridge creating a hybrid experience for collectors .

Chikn, a pioneering NFT game to monetize Avalanche AVAX, introduces in-game assets to location-based NFTs. With “Loot Boks”, a clever twist on the term “loot box”, Chikn mystery box offers geoNFT coins that contain items that can be transferred and used within the chikn.farm game and ecosystem. Such coinage will take place at the farm located atop the Jacob Javits Center, providing an exciting opportunity for players to acquire valuable in-game assets in the real world

During NFT.NYC, Lost Worlds will also host other geoNFT scavenger hunts. Participants who successfully collect geoNFTs from locations scattered throughout New York City will be rewarded with a non-tradable NFT token, which unlocks VIP access to side events, as well as exclusive NFT drops.
