Kevin teams up with Monet+ on in-store A2A payments
UK-based FinTech kevin has partnered with Monet+ to deliver account-to-account (A2A) payments via the Monet+ Switchio platform, the firm announced on its website on Friday (September 2).
Switchio by Monet+ works with multiple merchants to manage millions of transactions every day.
By integrating FinTech’s infrastructure into the Switchio platform, Monet+ becomes the first company to offer its customers and partners A2A payments in brick-and-mortar stores, the announcement said.
As mentioned on the kevin site, A2A payments offer lower transaction costs for merchants. This is because they are able to bypass card networks and reduce the number of middlemen involved in a payment, as PYMNTS has reported.

“Monet+ continues to provide great solutions for a digital world, and with Switchio they simplify transactions for many businesses every day,” said kevin co-founder and CEO Tadas Tamošiūnas in the announcement. “It goes without saying that their technology plays an important role in today’s payments industry. We at kevin. are delighted to partner with them, offering their customers access to direct and secure end-to-end in-store payments that excludes all process steps that have evolved over time but add no value.”
Switchio’s CEO Kamil Hanáček added: “We have seen massive growth in the digitization of payments in recent years. I am tasked with overseeing the electronic payments division at Monet+, Switchio’s parent company, and we believe that safe and reliable solutions often is based on cooperation between many partners – that is what enables us to participate in foreign projects.”
“Collaboration with kevin. will open up new doors to more payment options and make the payment experience even more pleasant. Safety and reliability are always prioritized in our work.”
