Illuminate Financial and Barclays expand strategic partnership to support FinTech startups
LONDON, 26 October 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Illuminate Financial, the London-based venture capital firm that invests in financial services technology companies, today announced an expansion of its long-standing partnership with Barclays, where the bank will become a limited partner in Illuminate Financial’s latest venture capital strategy.
Barclays joins global financial institutions including Jefferies, JP Morgan, Deutsche Börse Group, Citi and S&P Global as an investor in Illuminate Financial supporting early-stage FinTech and enterprise software companies driving innovation in the financial services industry.
Barclays was an investor in Illuminate Financials previously 100 million dollars FinTech fund that was a 2019 cohort.

Illuminate Financial is managed by Mark Beestonfounder and managing partner, together with partners Alexander Ross and Rezso Szabo. Founded in 2014, the venture firm has to date invested in more than 30 late-Seed to Series A companies addressing core challenges across financial services, including digital asset infrastructure, climate and ESG, data and private markets, as well as broader enterprise solutions which target sector.
