Tony Stewart, aka ‘Smoke’, announced an NFT collection to celebrate the American racing driver’s career. The collection ‘Legend of Smoke’ is in limited edition and will be launched via Orange Comet on 23 August at 12 ET on OpenSea and TonyStewartNFTs.com.
About the Tony Stewart Collection ‘Legend of Smoke’
The NFT collection tells the stories of Hall of Fame champion race car driver Tony Stewart. Furthermore, it will delve into Tony Stewart’s racing in a way that has never been seen before. As the first of its kind in its industry, this partnership is poised to create a whole new fan experience through increased fan engagement. It includes virtual hangouts with the legendary driver, on-track hospitality and official autographed collectibles. Focusing on the fans, Stewart is giving them an opportunity to own one of the actual stock cars from the 2011 NASCAR Cup championship season.
This limited edition goes live on August 23 at 12pm EST on OpenSea and officially Tony Stewart NFT website.
The Legacy series
‘The Legacy Series’ will be launched in the ‘Legend of Smoke’ collection. It’s a collection of 500 generative 1 of 1s, each priced at $250. Users who purchase 2 Legacy Series NFTs will receive a signed Tony Stewart hat. It’s interesting to note that each NFT also comes with a 1/5 chance of a 30-minute Zoom Hangout with Tony Stewart.
Champion Series
‘The Champion Series’ will include a total of 30 signature animation NFTs, each costing $5,000. These lucky holders will receive Tony Stewart’s autographed fire suit and on-track hospitality. In addition to this, a virtual hangout with Tony (via Zoom). If all 30 pieces sell out, one lucky holder will own one of Tony’s 2011 #14 NASCAR Championship cars.
Tony Stewart’s motor racing career
Tony Stewart is a semi-retired American stock car driver, with a career spanning NASCAR, IndyCar, sprint cars and more. He has achieved feats on the track (both paved and dirt) that few have achieved. In addition, he is currently the current co-owner of the NASCAR the Stewart-Haas Racing team and the Superstar Racing Experience. Throughout his 20-year racing career, he has won countless championships himself. Today, he wins even more in his new role as co-owner.
Notably, ‘Smoke’ is the first and only driver to win championships in stock cars, Indy cars, and open-wheel midget, Sprint and Silver Crown cars.
