Hunter Allen’s Project Fuerza turns professionals’ best performances into NFT art
Peaks Coaching founder Hunter Allen has launched Project Fuerza to capture top professionals’ performance data and turn it into art, which will be issued as NFTs through the Tour de France.
Top cyclists, including Peter Sagan, Geraint Thomas, Mark Cavendish, Dan Martin, Jens Voigt and many more are on board to have their biometric data turned into digital art. Each piece is said to matter to the rider as it captures a key performance from the race.
The NFTs will be sold on ProjectFuerza.com, with new artwork added every Friday in July. Buyers will own the digital art, verifiable on the blockchain, and have access to review the practitioner’s complete power profile data for that day. Some even include the ability to meet or chat with the rider as well.

Each NFT also captures a story from the rider about that performance, and describes the ride, the atmosphere, and their feelings around it. Shown at the top of this post is Mark Cavendish’s recent victory in the British National Championship Elite Road Race. It’s just the final sprint of the race, where Mark won. The outline of the stone is the shape of his power data in the sprint and the red line is his pulse data. It is a 1 in 1 and contains the power file.
Other pieces celebrate rides from Geraint Thomas, such as this one titled “Surprise Attack” by artist Facundo Kostelak who celebrates Dauphine Stage 5 2021 (Saint-Chamond to Saint-Vallier). where Geraint attacks with 1k to the goal for the victory, and keeps away Sonny Cobrelli at the finish line. “It was not planned,” Thomas said. “I knew Bahrain had no boys left. I knew it was all set up, and the last bit was a bit convoluted, so I just thought “peat it, do it”. I walked a mile again, the boys said on the radio that I had a gap, and I just went all in.
“To be honest, I did not think I had it on the line. I sat up two meters from the line to start giving it the big one, but man, Colbrelli came by so fast that he almost took off my helmet. But it’s very nice to get that victory. The art turns its power data and made a scatter plot of this, called Quadrant Analysis, which tells you how the practitioner created power. These dots are throughout the artwork which is an excellent example of mixing art, images and power data in one. … And Leah Thomas, with this piece titled “A Slice of My Life” by Nick Hand, inspired by Ardeche Stage 7 2021. She became number 4 on stage and OVERAL GC winner. «Another strong stage finish for Leah, and she took a long journey to get to the overall winner. Her team was fantastic today and kept it all under control and chased down so many attacks. A stage is a piece of the race, and the race is just a piece of her life. A very cool record. “
Rohan Dennis celebrates his USA PRO 2015 Stage 7 and OVERALL WIN with this piece entitled “Vision” by artist Patrick Green. “Not everyone sees power the way Rohan does, but when you see an incredible work of art, and every time you look at it again, you see something new. A typical Fuerza NFT”
Other riders include Ryder Hesjedal, the first Canadian ever to win the Giro D’Italia, and Jens Voigt, with a massive collection of poster art around his “Shut Up Legs” mantra, and
