Huawei launched Fintech 2.0 solution to improve economic growth in Africa
Huawei and its phones have survived a long journey without Google’s mobile services. However, we cannot deny the fact that it was quite tough for the company to face this challenge and make space in this Google and Android world.
We are well aware of the services and benefits that Google offers to its Android users. So far, Huawei has also remained in this advantageous group in the early days. Unfortunately, these benefits will be closed in May 2019.
Google’s history of absence begins with the US emperors who banned Huawei and some other Chinese manufacturers from entering US borders. Ultimately, this step has become a major hurdle for the technology maker and has affected various fields, including the chipset market.
Alongside the technology segments, the incident also prompted Google to withdraw its hands from Huawei sectors. As a result, after 2019, none of the Huawei devices showed any Google apps or services.
Although some users had great technical knowledge and tried to install the Google apps and mobile services on their Huawei phones. Nevertheless, Google has blocked such inappropriate avenues with the subsequent updates.
New leaps – HarmonyOS and AppGallery
The absence of Google Mobile Services means you lose some prominent apps from your smartphone. For example Gmail, Maps, YouTube and most importantly – the Play Store. Therefore, the absence of Google dealt a heavy blow to Huawei.
Consequently, the company began to drown in the smartphone market. Sales fell extremely and users’ interest in Huawei phones began to wane. But the company did not give up and took a leap on the surface with the HarmonyOS system.
After several efforts, Huawei released its proprietary HarmonyOS operating system in August 2019. Initially, it only covered Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Later, it started finding its way to Huawei smartphones.
More about this, the company introduced AppGallery, which became a safer alternative to the Google Play Store. Although it has fewer apps than the Play Store, some other AppGallery facilities stand out from other app distribution platforms.
Subsequently, Huawei also introduced the EMUI operating system to its global users. In particular, EMUI is an Android-derived mobile operating system available in Huawei smartphones for the global market.
Huawei is still trying to cope with the world
Although many things went against Huawei, it managed and is still trying to survive without Google. The latest and advanced technologies show how the company has taken Google’s absence as a challenge and come up with good enough results.
However, difficulties continue to appear in Huawei’s way. Although the decline has slowed, it has not stopped and the loss continues.
But the valued fact is that Huawei is well managed and emerged as a strong contender in front of the robust challenges. If there was any other company instead of Huawei, it would be reduced to ashes. But this tech giant is too stubborn to be defeated.
So yes, Huawei has survived a world without Google. The company has proven that it is capable of building new and advanced solutions. But it still needs to work to regain its fandom in the smartphone and chipset market.
Also, it would be worth seeing if Google Mobile Services will do a U-turn for Huawei. Or does the company have to take new initiatives to take its place back in the market?
