Google Launches Cloud-Based Blockchain Node Engine

Google, unveiled its brand new Google Cloud Blockchain Node Engine on Thursday. Google launched the engine because, in their opinion, “self-governing nodes are often challenging to implement and require ongoing oversight.”

Ethereum will be the first blockchain supported by the Blockchain Node Engine, according to Google, although more blockchains will be supported.

Crypto firms and Web3 service providers can use the Blockchain Node Engine offering, which is a “fully managed node hosting service.”

The newly established node engine service, which the company also described on Thursday, would support Ethereum, the second largest crypto asset network by market capitalization.

According to the tech company’s current blog post, “Ethereum will be the first blockchain enabled by the Blockchain Node Engine, which allows developers to offer fully managed Ethereum nodes with secure blockchain access.

The announcement comes after Google recently partnered with Coinbase to promote Web3 innovation.

“Web3 organizations that need dedicated nodes can communicate transactions, implement smart contracts, and read or write blockchain data with the reliability, performance, and security they expect from Google Cloud computing and network infrastructure.” according to a statement about the latest blockchain engine product.

In addition, a Blockdata analysis reveals that Google is among the top investors in blockchain technology, having invested in companies including Fireblocks, Digital Currency Group (DCG), Dapper Labs and Vultage.

When the tech giant established a Web3 team in its cloud company last May, it signaled its entry into the decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3 industry.

During that time, a Google representative stated that the company offers solutions for companies to leverage and benefit from the distributed nature of Web3 in their existing businesses and enterprises.

According to the latest announcement of a node engine offering, the service seeks to offer “streamlined delivery,” “secure development,” and “fully managed operations.”

In addition to offering Google Cloud’s service level agreement (SLA), Blockchain Node Engine can free up your team to concentrate on your consumers instead of your infrastructure, according to Google’s blog post.

We are excited to provide businesses with a reliable, easy-to-use blockchain node hosting service so they can concentrate on developing and expanding their Web3 applications.
