Funko is giving Transformers-themed NFT trading cards another shot

I know what you needed more of in your life, NFT trading cards featuring Funko Pop toys based on Mr Potatoe Head dressed as either Bumblebee or Optimus Prime. Well, Funko is here to help with their latest NFT lottery offering (here’s a link to their previous one). It was revealed on their site that their next NFT raffle will include Mr Potatoe Head Transformers Funko pops among other Hasbro “retro” playing with popsicles. Below is a breakdown of how it works, written by Pcsolyar, along with the NFTs and pictures of the physical Funko Pops you can win through this.

You buy a digital pack of NFTs (5 NFTs for $9.99 or 15 for $29.99) and have a very small chance of getting a rare one that comes with the physical product redemption. Optimus is the wave’s “grail”, with a draw rate of 0.28%. The other 5 physical redemptions, including Bee, have a pull rate of 1.72%. Most people just get worthless ones. It’s just digital trading cards with the NFT buzzword on them and the chance to win a physical Pop! figure. And if you collect the entire set, excluding the physical redemptions, you’ll get a bonus physical Funko of their mascot in a Hasbro t-shirt with a Simon game.

Were these successful enough last time to warrant another go? It is unfortunate.

Electronic Arts would be so proud that Hasbro gave Funko the go-ahead on this.

Sad to read that this is not their first rodeo with NFT fraud.

I am happy to confirm that cranial nerves 3, 4 and 6 are fully functional on me…because they were just severely tested when I rolled my eyes so hard that my right eyeball made a popping noise…
