Fintech Australia reveals shortlist for The Finnies 2023 Awards

FinTech Australia has unveiled the shortlist of 156 finalists for the seventh edition of Finnies, the country’s annual fintech awards.

This year’s awards saw over 300 entries from more than 250 fintechs across 19 categories. The awards will recognize outstanding achievements in the various components of the fintech industry, as well as among the services that support them.

Rehan D’Almeida, managing director of FinTech Australia, praised the finalists for their achievement, highlighting the difficulty of the judging process. “There have been some tough decisions,” he said, “as a result, any company or individual making this shortlist should be incredibly proud of their achievements.”

The awards will be held on May 31 at the Forum Theater in Melbourne, with tickets available via The Finnies’ website. The event is sponsored by Patona and Global processing services.

Despite the challenging environment for the fintech and startup sectors, D’Almeida believes the awards are a great reminder of the industry’s resilience and its ability to achieve despite adversity. “We look forward to seeing everyone on the night,” he said.
