Cristiano Ronaldo has been ridiculed by fans for promoting his new NFT collection just hours after he accused Manchester United of being a “marketing club”.
In an explosive alt-interview with Piers Morgan to be broadcast in full on Wednesday and Thursday, Ronaldo revealed he has ‘no respect’ for United boss Erik Ten Hag, while also hitting out at former team-mates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.
He then turned his attention to United’s owners, the Glazers, claiming: ‘Manchester [United] is a marketing club, they want to get their money from the marketing, the sport they don’t really care about in my opinion.
After making these controversial comments, Ronaldo took to Twitter to announce that he has a new NFT collection that will be available on Friday.
“My NFT Collection coming November 18th, exclusively on @binance,” he tweeted.
“This is your chance to join my Web3 community and own iconic moments from my career.
‘Register now with the code RONALDO to prepare, and receive a surprise when the collection drops.’
