Ethereum: crypto donations for Turkey
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has donated hundreds of ETH crypto to help victims of the 7.8 earthquake in Turkey. Buterin reportedly made two significant contributions of relatively 50 ETH to Anka Relief and 99 ETH to the Ahbap organization.

Vitalik Buterinthe young Russian co-founder of the second largest crypto by market capitalization, made Ethereum (ETH) donations to help victims of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Turkey and Syria night of 5-6 February.
These were two significant contributions that Buterin allegedly made. The first occurred on 11 February non-governmental and non-profit organization dedicated to relief work in Turkey, Ahbap.
The amount of the donation was 99 ETH, about $150,000and at the time of writing, Ahbap’s Ethereum wallet contains a total of 409 ETH, equivalent to $622,000.

While the second donation that happened yesterday is worthwhile 50 ETH, equivalent to about $75,000, to Anka Relief.

In his summary of tweets, Anka also stated that cryptocurrency donations have been piling up since the first day the related cryptocurrency address was published.
Not only Ethereum: AVAX, USDT, TRX and crypto exchanges also make donations
Over the past week, millions of crypto-donations have moved to support humanitarian efforts for the earthquake, whose toll to date sadly appears to have exceeded 39,000 victims.
Among the many, Avalanche (AVAX) and Tether (USDT) have also made donations. And actually Avalanche Foundation have donated as much as $1 million in AVAX tokens to the Haluklevent organizationand invites others to join the effort as well.
On the other side, Tether (USDT) has promised to help Turkey with one 5 million TRY donation.
Included in the ranks in terms of emergency aid or donations were also cryptocurrency trading platforms such as e.g. Gate.io, Binance, Bitfinex, Bitget, ByBit and BitMEX.
And finally, Justin Sun, founder of TRON, also donated 1 million dollars in TRX from Huobi Global crypto exchange.
ETH price dump of 6% last 24 hours
At the time of writing, ETH registers a price dump of 6% in the last 24 hours. Looking at the chart, there is a clear jump from $1535 to $1500 and then recover but not quite to $1519.
Completely normal situation when you look at it Ethereum price chart in the last monthwhere the swings have stayed within a minimum of $1,500 to a maximum of $1,700.
Specifically, last week ETH started at $1626, while on February 9th it fell to $1540 and then to current prices.
And yet, just this past week, news of this has been circulating Ethereum and Bitcoin adoption should increase in part due to the new school in Dubai that will accept crypto payments for tuition.
This new school is a concrete example that Dubai is serious about making crypto mainstream as payment systems and about wanting to integrate blockchain technology organically.
