DraftKing’s Reignmakers Fantasy Football NFT Contest Preview for NFL Week 9
The inaugural DraftKings Reignmakers Football season rolls on! We’ve reached week 9 and there’s another great set of competitions in print.
We’ve taken a look at what Reignmakers is, how to play and everything leading up to the competition page, but this preview will be your one-stop shop for breaking down each competition and some key details you’ll want to know heading into the week 9. There are two competition types (Showdown and Classic), similar to what the conventional DFS competitions offer, but there are five levels (CORE, RARE, ELITE, LEGENDARY and REIGNMAKER) of competition options to choose from.

Let’s take a closer look at the Showdown contests:
Showdown Competitions:
- There are three Showdown schedules this week (Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football).
- Each set of Showdown competitions has several competitions in each level (CORE, RARELY, ELITE and LEGENDARY) and one i RAIN MAKER the level.
- Each competition has prizes ranging from cash, tickets, specific player cards and packages.
- Each contest also has a “card requirement”, which is listed under the requirements column on the contest lobby page.
Let’s take a closer look at each level of the Showdown competition:
CORE
RARELY

ELITE
- Some contests in this tier have total cash prizes of up to $20,000, RMF packages, player cards and a millionaire satellite ticket.
- The highest prize money for each of the showdown lists is i $20K Fiat Frenzywith first place taking home $5,000.
- There are satellite contests with tickets available for $100 DFS contests on Thursday night football, Sunday night football and Monday night football.
- There are also competitions where you can win team cards. The prize package party continues to compete Thursday night football, Sunday night football and Monday night football reward the top 10 with ELITE PLUS packs and 11th to 30th with RARE PLUS packs.
- Each competition requires at least three ELITE (or rarer) cards and one RARE card to enter a valid lineup in the competition.
LEGENDARY
- Some contests in this tier have total cash prizes of up to $20,000, RMF packages, player cards and $4,444 Mega Millionaire Satellite tickets.
- The highest prize money for each of the showdown lists is $20K Fiat Frenzywith first place taking home $5,000.
- There are satellite contests with tickets available for the $4,444 DFS contest, with the winner getting the ticket and the next two entries each getting a $100 ticket for $20 DFS Millionaire contests at Thursday night football, Sunday night football and Monday night football.
- There are also competitions where you can win team cards. There are prize pack party competitions on Thursday night football, Sunday night football and Monday night football which awards LEGENDARY PLUS packages to those who finish in the top five and ELITE PLUS packages to those who finish from sixth to 15th place.
- Each competition requires at least two LEGENDARY and two ELITE (or rarer) cards to enter a valid lineup in the competition.
RAIN MAKER
- For each of the four showdown boards there is one $25K Fiat Frenzywith first place taking home $5,000.
- Each competition requires at least three LEGENDARY and one REIGNMAKER card to enter a valid lineup in the competition.
CLASSICAL
- Like Showdown, there are several competitions you can enter based on level.
- The public competition distribution is six COREfive RARELYfive ELITEfive LEGENDARY and three RAIN MAKER contests available.
- Each competition has prizes ranging from cash, tickets, specific player cards, NFTs and packs.
- Each contest also has a “card requirement”, which is listed under the requirements column on the contest lobby page.
Let’s take a closer look at each level of the classic competitions:
CORE
- Some contests in this tier have total cash prizes of up to $50,000 and RMF packages.
- The SlyCrocs League will premiere SupDuck 6919, SupDuck 9750 and SupDuck 7418 to the top three this week and also awards $3,000 to the winner. There are cash prizes for the top 100 and Genesis CORE promotional packs available for the top 1000. Find out more about the SlyCrocs League in this post on DK Nation. The Reignmakers will also guarantee three more contests this season for SlyCrocs holders. Additionally, all SlyCrocs with the DK Crown, Football Pads, Sup Jersey, Chin Strap or Boston Jersey traits will receive five Genesis Promotional Packs with one card.
- The highest prize money is in $50K Fiat Frenzywith first place taking home $5,000.
- The Prize package party offers a RARE PLUS package to those who finish between first to 250th and CORE PLUS packages to those who finish 251st to 1,500.
- Each competition requires at least five CORE (or rarer) cards to enter a valid lineup in the competition.
RARELY
- Some contests in this tier have total cash prizes of up to $80,000, RMF packages and player cards.
- The highest prize money is in $80K Fiat Frenzywith first place taking home $10,000.
- The Prize package party the competition offers RARE PLUS to those who finish between first and 100th and CORE PLUS packs to those who finish between 101st and 500th.
- Each competition requires at least one CORE and four RARE (or rarer) cards to enter a valid lineup in the competition.
ELITE
- Some competitions in this tier have total prize money of up to $250,000, RMF packages, player cards and 2022 $1M RMF World Championship tickets.
- The highest prize money is in $250K Fiat Frenzywith first place taking home $100,000.
- The Prize package party offers ELITE PLUSS to those who finish between first and 10th and RARE PLUS packages to those who finish between 11th and 50th.
- Each contest requires at least one RARE and four ELITE (or rarer) cards to enter a valid lineup in the contest.
LEGENDARY
- Some competitions in this tier have total prize money up to $100,000, RMF packages, player cards and 2022 $1M RMF World Championship tickets.
- The highest prize money is in $100,000 Fiat Frenzywith first place taking home $10,000.
- The PRIZE PACKAGE PARTY the competition offers LEGENDARY PLUSS to those who finish first to 10th and ELITE PLUS packages to those who finish 11th to 25th.
- Each competition requires at least two LEGENDARY and three ELITE (or rarer) cards to enter a valid lineup in the competition.
RAIN MAKER
- Some competitions in this tier have total prize money of up to $150,000, RMF packages and 2022 $1M RMF World Championship tickets.
- The highest prize money is in $150,000 The Alpha competition, with first place taking home $25,000.
- Another REIGNMAKER contest is RMWC qualifier #26, where the winner qualifies for the $1 million World Championship!
- Each competition requires at least three LEGENDARY (or rarer) and two REIGNMAKER cards to enter a valid lineup in the competition.
