Block Explorer

Block Explorer is useful for looking at Cudo’s blockchain history and seeing when transactions have been performed on the chain. It allows you to browse assets by Cudos address or see what has happened in various transactions between accounts and contracts. One of the most important features of blockchain is that it is a public database – the block explorer makes it much easier to look at this database.

Block Explorer is the primary window of the Cudos Network blockchain that displays all kinds of top-level information about the current chain and granular transaction data.

Staking and control

The Staking & Governance page is currently taking you to an older version of the Cudos Network Block Explorer. Using the tool, you can manage your delegated ownership in the network and propose and vote on management changes.

On the bet page, you will use the Staking & Governance page to choose which validator you want to delegate your CUDOS to, and it will also show you the rewards you have earned from the bet.

When it comes to management, Cudos is a community-driven project where you have an opinion on how the protocol works at the technical level. Anyone can formally propose protocol changes for how the network works. You can also vote on suggestions made by others.

We’ll be releasing a massive upgrade of the Staking & Governance tool in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! We think you’ll love the new design, but for now you can go to the old version to complete all effort or management transactions!

Cudos Bridge

Cudos Bridge is the tool to migrate or “bridge” your tokens between the Ethereum and Cudos blockchains. Depending on what you want to do with your tokens, you can have them present on both blockchains – so you can swap them in both directions. However, all transactions that move tokens to Cudos are dependent on the Ethereum network, making the transactions potentially expensive.

To perform the bridge transaction, you will first choose the direction you want to send your tokens, either from Ethereum ERC20 to Cudos native or from Cudos native to Ethereum ERC20. Then you will connect the Metamask wallet to the Ethereum page of the transaction and the Keplr wallet to the Cudos page.

And yes, you are right! You connect to both wallets since you interact with both blockchains! You can then proceed to the next screen by clicking “Start New Transfer”, where you can specify how many tokens you want to transfer. Click “Transfer”. You may need to sign a transaction first to give Metamask access to the bridge. Then your wallet will show up to sign the transaction and perform token bridging.

Staking update

IMPORTANT: This is a must-read for all token holders who delegate holdings with validators or validators themselves who did not migrate to the new native Cudos Network blockchain at startup!

  • We will allow ERC20 CUDOS holders to withdraw their deposited tokens on Ethereum from today, Wednesday 6 July 2022.
  • These are users who delegated ownership with validators or validators themselves who did not migrate to the new native Cudos Network blockchain at genesis.
  • This is because the CUDOS investment in Ethereum is now complete, and there are no rewards available via this smart contract anymore. To earn bet rewards with CUDOS, users must be on the Cudos network, use native tokens via a Keplr wallet, and delegate to a live mainnet validator.

  • It’s happening today, Wednesday, July 6, 2022, because it’s 21 days after our main network was published, and these bet tokens have now undergone the standard 21-day release period that all bet tokens must go through in order to be withdrawn.
  • Users will be able to access their money on wallet.cudos.org where they can connect to their Metamask wallet to see their available funds, unclaimed rewards and efforts that may be required.
  • The demanding smart contract that contains the funds is also directly available if users prefer to interact with the contract directly via Etherscan.
  • This is only relevant for users who chose not to migrate to the new network via the address mapping tool.
  • Previously wagered tokens (and any pending rewards) on Ethereum can now be recovered indefinitely without a time limit.
  • These ERC20 CUDOS holders can easily bridge the new network today via Cudos Bridge once they have retrieved their efforts / rewards at wallet.cudos.org.
  • Since this recovery feature is happening on Ethereum again, users will need some $ ETH in their wallet to pay gas taxes for each of these transactions – gas taxes are usually low right now, but it’s out of our control.
