New Delhi, July 15: Crypto investment platform CoinSwitch announced on Friday a Blockchain hackathon in collaboration with Startup Karnataka, a government initiative, along with BJP MP Tejasvi Surya.

Centered on the themes of smart city, digital governance and supply chain, Building Future Cities aims to kick-start a Web3 innovation cycle tailored and tailored to India, the company said in a statement.
“This hackathon enables Karnataka to bring this success story to the next frontier of technology – Blockchain – and allows young innovators to harness the power of Blockchain for the public good,” said CN Ashwathnarayan, Minister of Higher Education and IT-BT.
The hackathon will challenge participants to envision a Blockchain-driven India, focusing on smart mobility, energy credits and trade, decentralized waste management, secure digital identity and certificate management, efficient and transparent vaccine distribution, and farm supplies and supply chain management.
“We are now ready for the next big technological leap, to build a Blockchain-driven India. I am pleased to partner with CoinSwitch for a first of its kind Blockchain hackathon and sow the seeds of India’s future in Bengaluru,” Surya said. .
The hackathon is held in Bengaluru 5.-6. August.
The winners will be rewarded with Rs 3 lakh, with the total prize pool for the hackathon set at Rs 6 lakh. Participants can participate in the competition individually or in a team of up to four members.
