Crypto market up 3.26%, Bitcoin up 3.65%, Ethereum up 2.5%

The global cryptocurrency market rose 3.26 percent on Saturday morning, clawing back losses from yesterday to reach $1.12 trillion. Bitcoin and other popular altcoins increased in value

It was a bullish day for the crypto market on February 18, 2023 after a day of losses. The price of Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and other major altcoins were up from the previous day’s price.

The global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $1.12 trillion at 11:00 PM IST, up 3.26 percent from the previous day, according to data from coinmarket.com.

Total crypto market volume fell by 11.22 percent to $71.76 billion in the last 24 hours.

The most popular crypto was Blur (BLUR), for the second day in a row, but the biggest gainer of the day was Klaytn (KLAY), up 23.44 percent to $0.2627. The biggest loser was ImmutableX (IMX), down 1.36 percent to $1.11.

Cryptocurrency prices

Bitcoin: The price of Bitcoin rose by 3.65 percent to $24,620.51.

BTC’s rapid rise was halted yesterday, but it recovered from yesterday’s losses. On Saturday, BTC extended its gains further.

The price of Bitcoin rose from $23,976 to $24,915 between 10:10 PM IST on Friday and 1:55 AM IST on Saturday. In 24 hours, trading volume fell by 1.95 percent to $38.31 billion.

Ethereum: ETH’s price rose 2.50 percent to $1,698.33A. The rapid increase in ETH was halted yesterday, but ETH recovered from its losses. Barring a one-hour dip at 1:25 PM IST on February 17, 2023, Ethereum traded in the green with rapid gains. However, prices remained volatile.

The lowest price for ETH was $1,653.70 and the highest price was $1,716.78. ETH’s trading volume decreased by 24.54 percent to $9.02 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) was up 3.67 percent to $23.42.

In its 24-hour trade, Ripple’s (XRP) price rose 1.56 percent to $0.3945, even as trading volume fell by 25.99 percent.

Cardano (ADA) was up 2.60 percent at $0.4039. After a fall of 25.76 percent, the 24-hour trading volume reached $374 million.

Binance (BNB) rose 3.12 percent to $316.46. Its 24-hour trading volume was down 29.02 percent to $636.9 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin rose 2.48 percent to $0.088, and 24-hour trading volume fell 49.28 percent.

Shiba Inu was up 7.29 percent to $0.0000137.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) rose 1.40 percent, although 24-hour trading volume was down 18.20 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) was up 4.20 percent at $19.74, and 24-hour trading volume was down 3.82 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded up 3.97 percent to $88.30.
