Crypto market at $1.07 trillion, Bitcoin loses 1.07%, Ethereum falls 0.41%

Cryptocurrency prices fell 1.05 percent on Thursday morning after yesterday’s rise. The market was dragged down by losses in Bitcoin, Ethereum and other altcoins.

Cryptocurrency

The global crypto market fell to $1.07 trillion, down 1.05 percent from the previous day, at 11 am IST on Thursday, according to coinmarket.com. Total crypto market volume lost 3.03 percent to $45.91 billion in the last 24 hours.

SingularityNET(AGIX) is the most popular crypto, but the day’s top gainer was Maker (MKR), up 5.90 percent to $900.12. The top loser was Klaytn (KLAY), down 7.81 percent to $0.2658.

Cryptocurrency prices

Bitcoin: BTC fell 1.07 percent to $23,449.82. Bitcoin is still in the red, despite briefly turning green yesterday. It continues to make losses in the same way as last week.

Between 12:00 PM and 1:30 AM IST on Wednesday, the price of Bitcoin fell from $23,708 to $23,419. Prices have remained very volatile since then.

Over the past 24 hours, trading volume has increased by 0.36 percent to $23 billion. BTC dominance is 42.3 percent.

Ethereum: ETH’s price fell 0.41 percent to $1,644.05.

Despite trading in gains on Wednesday, Ethereum continued its downward trend from last week. ETH entered the red at 1.20 am IST on March 2, but returned to the green in two hours. The price rose from $1,636 to $1,671 in four hours from 1 IST.

By 7.15 in the morning the price had fallen again to $1649. Since then, ETH continued its decline. ETH’s trading volume decreased by 6.15 percent to $7 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) was down 2.35 percent at $21.99.

In 24-hour trading, Ripple’s (XRP) price fell 0.61 percent to $0.3787, even as trading volume fell 12.26 percent.

Cardano (ADA) fell 1.60 percent to $0.3555. After a fall of 19.74 percent, the 24-hour trading volume reached $209 million.

Binance (BNB) fell 1.92 percent to $299.12. Its 24-hour trading volume rose 3.72 percent to $375 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin fell 1.54 percent to $0.08086, and 24-hour trading volume fell 25.46 percent.

Shiba Inu was down 2.56 percent to $0.00001201.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) rose 5.91 percent, while 24-hour trading volume increased by 95 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 1.17 percent to $17.41, and 24-hour trading volume fell 32 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded up 0.85 percent to $81.44.
