Crypto Bali Week – The Cryptonomist
Every year in Southeast Asia, important kermesses for the crypto world are celebrated.
This is the case again this year, despite the events that have shaken the balance sheets and markets of cryptoassets.
Crypto Bali Week: the crypto event at the end of August
At the turn of summer, there are events such as Crypto Expo, which took place in June in Singapore, Coinfest Asia in Bali, Indonesia, Asia Crypto Week – Token20249, which also takes place in Singapore next September, and so on.
Among these is an event that looks very interesting and exciting, Crypto Week Bali [ ]from 19 to 29 August (here is the programme: /route/ ) which is part of Coinfest Asia and which has a peculiarity: the deus ex machina is an Italian, well known in the crypto community.
He is Bruno Calabretta, a consultant and digital coach, founder of Aurora Consulting, a crypto consulting and training company, which has been established in Asia for some time now and sees in the Asian continent promising scenarios for the crypto world and economy.
With him were many other leading figures in the crypto community, notably Melissa Kurtcan, among the founders of S21 and Eurydice UK’s business strategist.
A community of blockchain enthusiasts has come together in Bali, all expats from the most diverse areas of the planet.
“Crypto Bali Week 2022, is the result of the collective efforts of this community whose players include names of entrepreneurs, creatives and investors such as Sicilia Cirrus, Cosmin Lungu, Antria Pansy, JP Eaglin, Matthew Cook, Melissa Om and others.
This year we celebrate the community’s second anniversary with the partnership and sponsorship of S21 x Coinfest Asia. The idea was to organize the first crypto week in Bali to try to achieve a fusion of the local community with the international community”.
Calabretta and Kurtcam state.
We will organize 10 days of long events, two international conferences, keynotes, masterminds, and a number of events and workshops related to NFTs and games. All without missing meetings, pool parties, live music with NFT coining attached, and much more”.
In fact, one only needs to take a look at the program to realize that it is exceptionally full and intense.
Cryptonomist will be at the event as a media partner and with one of the speakers, Luciano Quarta, lawyer and author of The crypto lawyer column, with a speech in the “Mastermind” panel on 27 August on the topics of Compliance/Regulation/Laws.
Asia is as controversial as it is interesting theater for the development of technologies, markets and services in the crypto world. And despite highly restrictive regulatory and legislative developments in some key countries, such as China, India and Indonesia, there are remarkably crypto-friendly jurisdictions. These undoubtedly include the United Arab Emirates and, in Southeast Asia, Singapore and Japan.
The 2022 focus is mainly on NFTs, DeFi, Metaverse and Web3. The cryptonomist therefore cannot avoid being there to observe developments on the scene.
We asked Calabretta and Kurtcan why they specifically chose Bali to launch the first edition of this event.
“We have collectively experienced and seen Bali grow as a crypto hub with the emergence of many interesting projects coming out of this beautiful community. The decision to celebrate this gathering with an event was a natural consequence, just like the spontaneous influx of voluntary contributions that made it concretely possible”.
In conclusion, the strategic location of the event ends up increasing the magic of an enchanting place like Bali, with the addition of an Italian flair.
How could anyone not want to be there?
