Several world-famous celebrities, such as Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Larry David, Naomi Osaka and Reese Witherspoon, have been ridiculed for their crypto campaigns in the new South Park movie that aired last night, and not in a good way.

While this is not the first time these celebrities have been criticized for hyping the crypto market without highlighting the risk, it is without a doubt the worst.

In the videos, the celebrities promote a new “promising” product called “Pee Pee Water”, which is exactly what it sounds like. “Tiss can be used for almost anything. We can water our lawns with it. We can also use urine for our shower water,” a cartoon character introducing himself as Matt Damon says.

When you think it can not get worse, the cartoon character forces himself to eat and drink food and drink made with “Pee Pee Water” instead of water, of course reluctantly, while mumbling “fortune favors the brave”, which is a reference to the series of advertisements by crypto platform Crypto.com.

Cartoon characters showing Gwyneth Paltrow, Larry David, Naomi Osaka and Reese Witherspoon also take a trip and promote the “brave” product.

The mockery comes as the recent crash in the crypto market has removed values of more than 2 billion USD from the market, with large cryptoactive craters reaching new lows. The crash came just months after celebrities urged everyone to fearlessly buy into crypto.

For example, in a one-minute ad, Damon takes viewers on a historic journey with brave men and women who have made a difference in the world, arguing that “wealth favors the brave.”

“These mortals, just like you and me, when they look over the edge, they calm the mind and steel their nerves with four simple words that have been whispered by the intrepid since Roman times: Fortune favors the brave.” says Damon in the ad.

Especially after spending a fortune on ads, Crypto.com had to lay down 5% of the company’s workforce last month with reference to market declines.
