Cardano NFT: NMKR.io – The Cryptonomist
This week’s guest on Cardano NFT column is a coin platform that expands to different facets of this technology, helping artists and developers take advantage of blockchain and NFTs: NMKR.io (formerly NFT-MAKER).
Last week’s guest was the founder of first algorithmically generated art in the form of NFTs on Cardano.
This initiative is a point of reference for NFTs on Cardano and every week or two we will invite someone to answer some questions and give us an update directly from the Cardano community.
Considering that many of our readers are new to the crypto field, we want one mix of simple and technical questions.

Please introduce NMKR. Where did the idea come from, and what services do you provide to users?
The idea of NMKR was born out of the need for available tools to shape Cardano NFTs. The need for these tools became apparent after the emergence of popular Cardano NFT projects.
We saw potential for NFTs to change the way people interact with digital content and we give one user-friendly platform called NMKR Studio which enables everyone to create, manage and create their own Cardano NFTs with minimal technical knowledge.
What are your thoughts on the Cardano NFT ecosystem so far, and where do you see it heading in the future?
Cardano is one of the most valuable blockchain for NFTs due to its scalability, security and low transaction fees. Within the Cardano NFT ecosystem, we have seen the emergence of incredible projects such as. SpaceBudz or ADA Ninjaz, and rebranding of NFT-MAKER to NMKR. These are just a few examples of how The Cardano community continues to grow and innovate.
We believe that The future of the Cardano NFT ecosystem is bright and we are happy to be a part of it.
You changed NFT-MAKER to NMKR. Tell us why.
NMKR (pronounced as N Maker) is one strategic rebrand of NFT-MAKER to reach new target groups with NMKR products and provide enhanced experiences for users in the decentralized economy.
The transition to Web3 will require that we not only specialize in NFTs, but also to offer a number of other help items on blockchains to our customers. Our customers have asked for more than just crypto collectibles – they want real help. The Web3 world is coming, and we are ready to support our customers in realizing their projects.
We will continue to shape NFTs in the same way as we did. But with recent technical advances, we want to do more and help others realize their dreams build blockchain products or services or integrate blockchain into their existing ones. We are on a mission to make decentralization even more useful.
In the near future, we will tackle real problems with blockchain technology. We see the game area and beyond as an incredible opportunity to make a real contribution.
How do you plan to implement that idea?
NMKR Studio (formerly NFT-MAKER PRO) in the core of NMKR products will provide user-friendly development APIs and non-code building blocks for modular development needs on multiple blockchains and supports various Web3 applications. Furthermore, NMKR Studio will be the backbone of our ecosystem products. We are confident that this will be a successful product to maintain other uses because the underlying API technology for NMKR Studio has already impacted over 1 million NFTs on Cardano.
Tell us more about the other projects you have set up.
Through NMKR Games, our brand is also looking to cater to the gaming audience by focusing on gameplay first and game development driven by blockchain technology. NMKR Store is like a marketplace that is designed as a platform to support gamingfor example, Games Access for players, but also for the sale and trade of collectibles.
The extra NMKR Agency will help artists and companies launch blockchain-related projects through a conglomerate of experts. We believe this is the perfect way to introduce new people to Cardano and blockchain technology in general!
What are your thoughts on the Web3 gaming site and how will NMKR fit into it?
One of the things we criticize about NFTs in games is that they are mainly used for pushing up hyped land sales or games to make money. We do not associate with the play-to-earn model as it does not create any benefit and is completely unsatisfactory for most users. Instead, at NMKR, we focus on game developers who build fun games and even make money from them.
An example is access tags, which are NFTs that provide digital rights and protect the creative vision. Therefore, each time a game is sold on a secondary market, the developer receives compensation or even royalty payments each time it is resold. This blockchain game concept has not existed before and we are happy to lead it.
Our leadership is convinced of that Using NFTs as access keys to online games or live game streams is another matter of use and may be larger than we can imagine.
Collectively Play Launchpad initiative aims to prove that this type of concept can work, and with this MVP we will accept the community’s opinion, as why they believe This may be a better alternative to centralized platforms like Steam. This will be a great learning opportunity for us, and we will do any repetitions where necessary.
You also have your own fungible token called $ NMKR. Tell us more, what is the benefit and how can people get it?
$ NMKR is a tool token that connects our ecosystem and gives a user rights to vote on changes in our ecosystem. This means that they can make decisions as to whether an NFT project should be verified as real or not, and even adjust reward parameters. At the efforts of users their trust score increases depending on how much was committed.
We got first $ NMKR listed on a centralized exchange called LCX. The $ NMKR token is also available for trading and trading on several major Cardano-based decentralized exchanges (DEX) included SundaeSwap, MinswapMuesliSwap and WingRiders. The total supply of $ NMKR is limited to 10 billion.
Thank you for your contribution. Any concluding remarks? Where can people get in touch?
Although NMKR appears to be blockchain agnostic, Cardano will always be a strong focus. We are building our ecosystem on Cardano due to we believe in the project, the technology and not least the community. We want to make sure that everything we do is in line with the Cardano ethos and helps to facilitate the adoption of the Protocol.
