Bugatti and Asprey launch the most expensive Bitcoin NFT

Asprey Studio, in collaboration with Bugatti and Web3 company Metagood, unveiled their latest physical “object” and generative artwork NFT collection on the Bitcoin blockchain. The Asprey Bugatti Egg Royale Edition phygital collaboration is the next phase of a partnership between the two luxury brands, combining the classic artistry of the luxury car family with Asprey’s advanced craftsmanship.

Presenting the Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection, Ali Walker, Chief Creative Officer at Asprey Studio, conveyed their immense pride. This new collection not only pushes the boundaries of production, but also features generative art created by their strategic partner and Bitcoin experts, Metagood.

Generative art takes on a new form of expression and art by using the egg shape equation of the sculpture as an NFT in Bitcoin. The equation connects NFT and the sculpture, making this collaboration between luxury brands and technology truly unique and innovative.

Luxury Egg Collection unveiled

Buggatti and luxury brand Asprey revealed the Asprey Bugatti Egg collection on Tuesday, April 4. The collection consists of 111 Bitcoin NFT-backed luxury eggs, each costing between $20-50 thousand, depending on their item number. This collaboration is the second time the two luxury brands have entered into a partnership. In April 2022, they released a collaborative NFT-backed jewelry collection with Bugatti’s Voiture Noire.

Ali Walker, Chief Creative Officer of Asprey Studio, reported that the first 100 eggs in the collection would cost between $20-50 thousand. Eggs 100 to 111, on the other hand, will be valued at over $200 thousand. The companies justify the high cost of the eggs by emphasizing the quality of the materials used for Bitcoin NFT’s physical counterparts. The designer made the eggs out of carbon fiber using an intricate and lengthy process, resulting in their perfect shape.

Furthermore, each egg will be encased in a sterling silver diamond weave lattice and adorned with other sophisticated details that highlight Asprey’s craftsmanship. Along with Bugatti brand memorabilia, such as the “dancing elephant” by Rembrandt Bugatti and the bonnet of the Bugatti Type 41 Royale, the eggs will also be on display.

Although the exact coin date has yet to be determined, the collection launch could coincide with the opening of the Asprey Studio Gallery in April 2023, as determined by the companies. The designers have also shared that due to the tedious process, the eggs can take up to 12 months to deliver.
