Brave New World NFT eBook recently launched by Book.io

Book.io brings one of the most banned books of all time through the decentralized network to Algorand. As per the announcement by Algorand Foundation, they have joined hands with the leading marketplace for non-fungible tokens to bring the digital copy of Brave New World.

It is said that a total of 10,000 copies will be distributed to Consensus 2023 participants through a voucher. This in turn is believed to provide an enhancement to the ecosystem of the world famous Layer-1 blockchain. It can be redeemed for an eCopy of the 1932 classic by Aldous Huxley.

Web3 emerges as a technology with productive utility. Brave New World debuted in the digital world, making it clear that decentralized distribution can do wonders by eliminating the middlemen. They have had the power to ban a book, or any other artistic material for that matter, at their discretion. Partnerships such as Book.io and the Algorand Foundation are working towards handing over complete ownership to the holder of the NFT.

This aspect is also crucial because it distinguishes Book.io’s service from other internet retailers. In stark contrast, generic internet book retailers only provide the license to purchase and view the digital version of the book. Book.io and the Algorand Foundation differentiate themselves by giving complete ownership to the owner of the e-book.

Brave New World will be on the decentralized channel, courtesy of Decentralized Encrypted Assets – DEA. The technology deployed does not involve centralized servers and only allows the owners to view the encrypted file of the e-book.

Ben Illian, co-founder of Book.io, has highlighted the reasons why the venture chose Alogrand for the partnership. Ben says the Algorand Foundation was chosen because of lower transaction costs and almost zero carbon footprint. Two other factors that have played an important role in facilitating this partnership are scalability and being on the same page when it comes to ethos.

Ben believes that books should be immutable, immutable and live forever throughout the world.

The partnership will help Book.io achieve its mission by ensuring that there is no central authority involved that censors or bans the book. Staci Warden of the Algorand Foundation has said that it is appropriate for the foundation to help Book.io in its endeavor because it is in line with the basic concept of Web3.

It says that technology enables knowledge to come from anywhere, so that everyone can access it without restrictions. The CEO of the foundation has also expressed his excitement about the partnership as they have ensured to offer a secure decentralized network. The Algo and future can be unpredictable amid the growing volatility of the crypto market, but interesting partnerships like these could see more support from the community.

Vouchers for Brave New World NFT will be distributed to Consensus 2023 participants from April 26, 2023 to April 28, 2023. The event is live in Austin, Texas.
