Blockchain Innovation Program is launched to promote Bitcoin development

As Bitcoin adoption both as a ledger and a currency increases, Bitcoin developers are in demand, and the Bitcoin Association for BSV’s latest course seeks to equip developers with skills that will give them a leg up on the market.

Entitled “Blockchain Innovation Program”, the 10-week course is aimed at all Bitcoin enthusiasts, especially developers who want to increase their skills.

“Although the course is open to everyone, a basic understanding of coding is helpful as users will work with Golang and JavaScript throughout the program. Students are also expected to have a basic understanding of Bitcoin theory,” explains Bitcoin Association Technical Programs Project Manager Julie Gaudreau.

The new course includes the three primitive courses currently offered by BSV Academy—hash functions, Merkle trees, and digital signatures.

It presents a great opportunity for developers who want to enter the lucrative Bitcoin industry, says Patrick Prinz, the association’s CEO. In 2021, blockchain jobs increased by 400, 4 times higher than in AI, virtual reality and other new technologies. Blockchain developers also tend to earn much more than their counterparts in other fields.

“The program encourages entrepreneurship which in turn will need developers, so it helps it grow exponentially and nurture the business at the same time,” commented Prinz.

The Blockchain Innovation Program is available to all partners interested in adding it to their education suite. CapitalSavvy, a Ugandan VC firm, has already integrated the course into its toolkit, allowing developers to gain skills that will open up new opportunities in the Bitcoin world.

BSV Academy continues to be the premier online education platform for the blockchain industry, offering university-style, academic-quality courses for developers at all stages of their careers. It offers the courses under three streams – theory, development and infrastructure.

In July, the academy partnered with the 31 million-member Chinese Software Developer Network (CSDN) to launch the Blockchain Engineer Prequalification Certificate. Those who complete the course and pass the exam are awarded a certificate that can be verified on the CSDN website.
