The biggest cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), traded higher on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, the most popular crypto of the day was Ethereum, for the second day in a row.
The global crypto market cap was up 1.77 percent to $1.12 trillion at 8:50 a.m. Global crypto volume increased by 71.22 percent to $70.6 billion, according to Coinmarketcap data.
Trading volume in the decentralized financial coin section is around $9.6 billion or 13.59 percent of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market. The volume of all stablecoins is $67.37 billion or about 95.42 percent of the total crypto market volume in the last 24 hours.
Bitcoin (BTC)
As of 8:50 a.m., Bitcoin rose 2.26 percent to $23,779.54 and currently holds a 40.49 percent dominance of the crypto market.
In terms of price analysis, BTC started its rise sometime around 11 a.m. on August 8 and reached a high of $24,203.69 around 17.00. However, the price could not be sustained and fell. But trading volume jumped 80.62 percent to $28,967,092,187.
Ethereum (ETH)
The price of Ethereum this morning was $1,774.71 and it was up 3.66 percent.
In terms of price analysis, ETH saw strong support. Although prices dipped slightly into negative territory on August 8 at $1,711 around 10.00, but sometime after 13.49, ETH started to move upwards and for the next two hours it continued to reach new highs. The highest price ETH touched was $1,806.82.
ETH’s trading volume jumped by 72.08 percent to $17,219,473,899.
Other Altcoins
Solana’s rate today was up by 1.77 percent to 42.19 dollars.
Cardano (ADA) rose 0.43 percent to $0.532. The 24-hour trading volume for ADA increased by 77.76 percent to $934,771,509.
Binance (BNB) fell 0.75 percent to $324.51. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 16.35 percent to $1,229,691,084.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin (DOGE) was up 0.91 percent to $0.07037. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 103.56 percent to $405,826,773.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) was up 0.41 percent at $0.00001229.
Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) rose 0.28 percent to $11,412.80. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 24.88 percent to $72,514,548.
Avalanche (AVAX) was up 0.09 percent at $27.83 and 24-hour trading volume was up 26.12 percent at $994,212,541.
Aave (AAVE) traded up 0.13 percent to $102.82 and 24-hour trading volume was up 194.17 percent to $402,133,662.
