The biggest cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), traded higher on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, today’s most popular crypto was Flow (FLOW).
The global crypto market cap was down 3.93 percent to $1.08 trillion at 8:50 a.m. Global crypto volume was down 5.45 percent to $67.94 billion, according to Coinmarketcap data.
Trading volume in the decentralized financial coin section is around $7.36 billion or 10.83 percent of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market. The volume of all stablecoins is $62.79 billion or about 92.42 percent of the total crypto market volume in the last 24 hours.
Bitcoin (BTC)
From 8.50 am Bitcoin fell 3.94 percent to $22,917.21 and currently holds a 40.48 percent dominance of the crypto market.
In terms of price analysis, BTC’s price began to slide sometime around 14.44 on August 9, and with each passing hour, it reached new lows. BTC seems to have recovered a bit this morning from the 24-hour low, but remains in the red zone. The lowest price that BTC touched was $22,771.52.
Ethereum (ETH)
The price of Ethereum this morning was $1,677.61 and it was down 5.34 percent.
ETH touched the red territory once around 12:19 p.m. on August 9, but bounced back almost immediately to create a new high of $1,786.12. But around 14:44 (the same time BTC started to fall), ETH started its downward slide. Just like BTC, it hit a new low with each passing hour. The 24-hour low for ETH was $1,665.09
ETH trading volume was up slightly by 1.23 percent to $17,294,919,015.
Other Altcoins
Solana’s rate today was down by 6.41 percent to 39.48 dollars.
Cardano (ADA) fell 4.51 percent to $0.5071. The 24-hour trading volume for ADA decreased by 28.37 percent to $642,917,979.
Binance (BNB) was down 2.79 percent at $315.23. Its 24-hour trading volume rose 0.57 percent to $1,238,028,065.
Meme Coins
Dogecoin (DOGE) fell 3.24 percent to $0.06806. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 60.59 percent to $650,396,479.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) was down 2.99 percent to $0.00001192.
Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) fell 3.18 percent to $11,067.28. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 7.76 percent to $77,606,015.
Avalanche (AVAX) fell 0.94 percent to $27.72 and 24-hour trading volume was down 20.16 percent to $794,470,663.
Aave (AAVE) traded down 6.17 percent to $96.61 and 24-hour trading volume was down 34.09 percent to $232,309,433.
