Bugatti and Asprey team up to create a limited edition collection of exquisite ‘object‘ NFT Egg that embodies the timeless creations of the Bugatti family and Asprey’s heritage and craftsmanship. The Royale Edition of the Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection is designed by Asprey Studio. It represents the next evolution of a partnership between the two luxury brands that began in early 2022. This collection enables the two luxury brands to operate in both the physical and digital realms.
The limited edition Bugatti NFT collections are backed by the blockchain and created using Asprey Studio’s cutting-edge manufacturing techniques and materials. The Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection is both a physical “object” and an NFT generative work of art. It is also the first ever collection from two luxury brands to use a state-of-the-art technique. This is when it comes to entering digital content on the Bitcoin blockchain. This ensures that the artwork will last indefinitely.
The Royale Edition of the Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection is inspired by Carlo Bugatti, Ettore Bugatti’s father. It is he who once said: “The purest perfect form of nature is the egg.” The eggshell of the Royale Edition is carbon fiber and intricately crafted into the perfect egg shape in a long and complex process. This process is completely free of inconsistencies or imperfections. Moreover, it is encased in a sterling silver diamond weave lattice, gently angled downwards to a curved base. This shape depicts movement and reflects Asprey’s heritage in jewellery. It also combines the ornate furniture designs of Carlo Bugatti and Art Nouveau, an era important to both brands.
The surface of the egg itself shows a “Dancing Elephant” motif. This has been recreated in perfect detail from one of Rembrandt Bugatti’s original sculptures. Asprey Studio traveled to the home of Bugatti in France to accurately 3D scan the bonnet mascot of one of the few remaining Type 41 Royale cars, to recreate the sculpture in minute detail.
The intricate grille and carbon fiber shell opens with a complex hinged Asprey diamond door. This reveals a scene of Chateau Saint Jean – the iconic home of Bugatti in Molsheim. At the front is a stylized Bugatti Type 41 Royale Esders in sterling silver, which can be removed if the owner wishes.
Wiebke Stahl, CEO of Bugatti International, states: “Ettore Bugatti believed in aesthetic construction, creating art out of every component in his vehicles. He saw the world through the eyes of an artist, drawing inspiration from the work of his creative family. We maintain these values to this day at Bugatti, working closely with our partners such as Asprey to create works of art in the vision of our founder. The creation of the Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection is a wonderful tribute to our history and the creations of Ettore, designed with the pioneering spirit and attention to detail that led his brand to be revered around the world.“
The Asprey Bugatti collection also coincides with the opening of the Asprey Studio Gallery in Mayfair in April 2023. This collaboration between two of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands promises to be a stunning tribute to the vision and creativity of Ettore Bugatti and Carlo Bugatti. Furthermore, it is also an innovative step forward in the luxurious web3 area.
