Apto’s Co-Founder Plans To Explore Blockchain Space
Aptos CEO and co-founder, Mo Shaikh, said that Aptos wants to explore the blockchain space by creating more economic value. Aptos is Layer 1 blockchain, and is designed for secure development. It is built with user experience as a core focus.
Apto’s co-founder has experience in financial services as well as blockchain technology and crypto. He worked on blockchain strategic partnerships for Meta’s wallet, Novi, and was also director of strategy at ConsenSys.
In a recent podcast, Shaikh said that Aptos is on a mission where people need a fresh form of sharing information digitally. And Aptos is working on it to be able to share this information and economic value digitally in more efficient and fair ways.
The year 2022 was quite significant for Aptos as it went public and raised around $400 million in funding even after the bearish phase of the crypto market. The blockchain received support from major players such as Andreessen Horowitz, Circle Ventures and the now collapsed FTX Ventures.
Aptos wanted to reach billions of people without interruption and by providing thousands of transactions per second and sub second latency.
Shaikh continued as he added that everything that has ever been discussed needs to be put together so that it can’t just compete with other previous generations of blockchains and scaling solutions that everyone is looking at in the industry. Yet many of them began to challenge the internet and the way economic value and information move around the world.
This year, Aptos plans to make this a “year of intention.” In addition, there will be an evolution to existing web3 products that have already been out in the crypto industry, even after the presence of large traditional players that were previously on the sidelines, are now starting to dive into the space in a really big way.
Aptos partnered with Google Cloud in April 2022 to enable further decentralization of the Aptos network. And then in November, they expanded the partnership again, revealing that Google Cloud is running a validator on Aptos.
In the same month, Aptos announced its partnership with NPIXEL, a premier Korean Triple-A game studio, redefining the web3 player experience.
In late 2022, Aptos shared its three-stage plan to deliver demand-driven gas costs at Aptos. According to the plan, at the beginning of January 2023, it will improve the operation of NFT data to reduce the prices by 10 times for dynamic NFTs. In Q1 2023, the blockchain will build gas-efficient data structures with end-to-end support from guides to indexing. And as early as Q2 2023, the blockchain will develop an advanced gas model that separates storage and execution costs.
