Aminoca Brands Subsidiary TinyTap Reveals Bullish NFT’s Announcement – Will It Disrupt the Education Industry?
- TinyTap will conduct the second auction of its educational “Publisher NFTs” starting on December 15.
- The innovative NFTs have already made a huge difference to participating teachers.
Blockchain gaming and open metaverse-focused venture capital firm Aminoca Brands, along with its subsidiary TinyTap, the leading platform for user-generated educational games, have announced plans to auction a second set of ‘Publisher NFTs’ starting December 15th.
The auction will be conducted on the leading non-fungible token marketplace Opensea, will feature six teacher authored Publisher NFTs, and will last 48 hours. Participation also requires a crypto wallet supported by OpenSea.
Publisher NFTs, as explained by TinyTap, are a curated suite of educational games created on the code-free TinyTap platform by educators (“Teachers”) in a specific subject. Buyers of Publisher NFTs become co-publishers with TinyTap and the teacher who created the course.
Participating teachers receive 50% of the net proceeds from the auction of Publisher NFTs associated with their courses and a 10% ongoing share of any revenue generated by such courses. Co-authors, i.e. purchasers of the NFTs, also receive 80% of all revenue generated by their NFT courses as a result of their advertising efforts.
TinyTap claims that the newly introduced innovation has the potential to disrupt the education sector by leveraging Web3 technologies and communities to improve monetization opportunities for educators, create new monetization and promotional options for co-publishers, and empower the community to directly support the growth of learning.
In a statement, TinyTap CEO Yogev Shelly said:
TinyTaps Publisher NFTs further our mission to build tools that empower communities to create, own and share education that is meaningful to them. We are thrilled to welcome the Web3 community to our educational game creator economy.
Shelly added that TinyTap is especially grateful to early backers who recognized the powerful new tool for digital assets, creators, educators and blockchain systems that Publisher NFTs are.
Publisher NFTs are already making a difference to teachers
In the short time that Publisher NFTs have been around, they have already shown potential in being able to better reward teachers for their efforts. The first TinyTap auction conducted in November, with Publisher NFTs created by six teachers, generated a total of 138,926 ETH (about $228,000 at the time).
Of this amount, a total of 67.7 ETH (approximately $111,000 at the time of sale) went to the six teachers who authored the content associated with the Publisher NFTs, according to a press release from Aminoca Brands.
Gabi Klaf, an Israel-based teacher whose creation “Learn English with Gabi” sold for the highest amount, earned 22.9 ETH (about USD 37,600 at the time of sale) – a figure that is 13 times the average monthly elementary school teacher’s salary in Israel.
