American Management University is set to adopt Blockchain technology for price verification
The university uses Certif-ID’s scannable QR technology to limit falsification of awards and optimize the verification process by employers
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, July 20, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — The term blockchain evokes a streamlined idea of cryptocurrency or NFT that has been in the news for a long time. However, blockchain technology has huge untapped uses and one such use was discovered by a German company, Certif-ID, which allows organizations to use the aforementioned technology to authenticate and verify documents.
A challenge that often arises during a company’s hiring process is the need to verify the schools that their potential employees attend. This usually means that the company has to call the school to confirm attendance, dates mentioned and prices that were given. Unfortunately, anyone can google how to replicate degrees and transcripts with any school’s name, as there is always someone who will do the job for a fee. But with blockchain technology, the counterfeiting process becomes more difficult.
American Management University (AMU) incorporates the Certif-ID technology to ensure that awarded awards can be easily verified by employers. AMU intends to launch the use of Certif-ID technology on its awards with the graduation ceremony scheduled to be held on September 10 in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. With the blockchain technology, all AMU diplomas, certificates and honorary degrees will come with a scannable QR code in the corner, and a company only needs to scan the code to assess the student’s name, academic records and awards achieved, thus simplifying the process for everyone involved parties. The QR code is associated with an address that is used only once, and any award without the QR code will be considered unofficial or false.
Armando Yepes, AMU’s legal adviser, had this to say about the latest development: “We understand that there is a large market for fake degrees. As we seek to expand the school, achieve US accreditation and improve our image, we must protect all AMU stakeholders.” Among those receiving awards with the new QR verification system will be Aaron Ozee who will receive an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters at the event.
