The NFTs operate using blockchain technology, a method of storing data that ensures its accuracy and security. It makes it difficult or impossible to change, trick or compromise the system. A blockchain is essentially a distributed, duplicated digital record of transactions used by computer systems and networks that use blockchain technology.

A ‘Homer Pepe’ NFT, an artwork made from an artistic combination of Homer Simpson and the Pepe The Frog meme sold for over $320,000 in 2021, after being purchased by the seller, Peter Kell, for $38,500.
With the growth of the NFT world, many celebrities and big brands are entering this space, including Warner Bros, Quentin Tarentino, DC Comics and Marvel.
