Market Approaches Fall Below $1T, Bitcoin Up 0.22%, Ethereum Down 0.85%

The global cryptocurrency market extended its losses from last week, falling 0.23 percent on the morning of February 13, 2023, and is on the verge of losing $1 trillion.

Despite the rise in the price of Bitcoin (BTC), the global crypto market was weighed down by losses in other popular altcoins.

The global crypto market on February 13, 2023 was bearish. Bitcoin (BTC), Binance (BNB), Dogecoin (DOGE) increased in value, while Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and Aave (AAVE) fell.

According to Coinmarketcap.com, at 11 am IST, the global cryptocurrency market cap was $1.01 trillion, down 0.23 percent from the previous day.

In the last 24 hours, the total crypto market volume had increased by 27.39 percent to $42.43 billion.

The top trending crypto was PancakeSwap (CAKE), but the top gainer for the second day in a row was Zilliqa (ZIL), up 14.24 percent to $0.03196, while the top loser was Hedera (HBAR), down 9.96 percent to $0. 08438.


Cryptocurrency prices

Bitcoin: There was a 0.22 percent increase in the price of Bitcoin to $21,849.40. BTC had been showing constant highs, but around 03:20 IST on 13 February 2023, the price dropped.

In half an hour, prices fell from $21,816 to $21,682, before gradually recovering. The lowest price for BTC was $21,677. BTC’s trading volume increased by 26.80 percent to $19.35 billion.

Ethereum: ETH’s price fell 0.85 percent to $1,520.57 in the last 24 hours on Monday morning. Ethereum gradually recovered from its earlier losses, but quickly fell around 03:00 IST on February 13, 2023, from $1536 to $1501, within an hour.

The trading volume level rose from $4.74 billion to $4.92 billion. The lowest price for ETH was $1504. ETH’s trading volume increased by 28.56 percent to $6.17 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) was down 1.97 percent at $0.3743.

In 24-hour trading, Ripple’s (XRP) price fell 1.97 percent to $0.3743, while trading volume soared 79.24 percent.

Cardano (ADA) fell 1.13 percent to $0.3627. After an increase of 37.29 percent, the 24-hour trading volume reached $277.42 million.

Binance (BNB) rose 2.42 percent to $314.40. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 84.23 percent to $611.98 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin gained 2.66 percent to $0.08403. Its 24-hour trading volume shot up a whopping 209.94 percent.

Shiba Inu was up 0.35 percent to $0.00001292.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) fell 2.61 percent, even as 24-hour trading volume rose 23.47 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 1.68 percent to $17.58 and 24-hour trading volume increased by 60.38 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded down 2.96 percent to $76.85.
